Yeah it’s almost self satire isn’t it ? Let’s use a kit to express a negative aspect of Manchester rainy grey skies. Someone in the design dept at Puma is taking the piss.

Well it was originally planned to be a player kit so why not?

Or on a second thought sure these could easily simply portrait Ederson dribbling without goalie gloves etc on these puma promo shoots they did.

I was under the impression it was an outfield kit, as I’m sure I’d seen pics of a few players in it, but I’d also thought it might just be keepers, so we will see if your sarcasm proves to be true later I guess - shall we have a 50p bet?

It is formally down as a goalkeeper's kit version of the sash white kit. Might be some quirk where players can wear it if all colours clash, but I think people are more desperate for it to be an outfield kit so they can justify their knee-jerk rage to the rumours.

Glad you did spot the sarcasm though, often gets missed on here. 50p, doesn't sound that confident though.

There is nothing that says it was originally planned to be a players kit. Nothing at all, other than runaway speculation based on some early half put together rumours based on leaked images. And that's with the promotion pictures too.

If it was planned as the outfield kit, what the fuck happened to the two goalkeepers' kits for the tournament, did they just get put in the bin and hidden away despite having been produced already? I really don't get why people are so desperate to make what was ultimately fake news, come true.

Haha that’s why I said 50p, on reflection I might be willing to go to a quid, but I’m not sure what they’ll wear now, maybe blue after all

Lets just take a fun friendly bet anyway. For an acknowledgement rather than 50p or a pound or whatever.

Happy to be wrong too, and there is indeed a small part of me that thinks they might at some point try push the kit out onto the pitch, if an opportunity of 'a clash' pops up.

That's not to say I in any way believe it was 'always intended as an outfield kit and they changed their mind because posters on bluemoon and reddit were unhappy'.

Thing is you don’t know what to believe, I mean 5/6 weeks back when these 2 kits were released, many said it’s stupid that we won’t be playing in our traditional home kit, then bang, first match that’s what we were in, this white and the orange were allegedly the 2 kits for the comp, that’s why I was seeing if they would be in it Thursday as in reality v Juventus they could - plus by wearing the blue and white upto now I’m inclined to think it’s the orange ones turn…. If it’s an outfield kit of course
