Thought he looked a little rusty but a nice finish and always seemed to be available when we were on the attack (Cherki could've easily slotted him in when he scored for example).

His dribbling doesn't seem *as* sharp as it promised to be last season but sure that will improve.

Looking forward to seeing him build on his game this season.

Defo very rusty - but it's his first game back and Bobb has a ton of talent.

I look forward to seeing him feature more and more this coming season - he may well prove to be a hidden gem.

Had poor 5-10 minutes before the goal he scored, but that's understandable. Huge talent.

I think he needs ro go on loan. He needs weekly football to get back to his levels. And it would be hard to get that here barring lots of injuries.

Sadly, i think he and Echemessi should go on loans. One of them will replace Bernado in a year. The other might have to replace whichever one of Doku or Savio doesn't take the next step. Assuming they themselves do.

But the front line is loaded and it would be hard to compete if you are already behind.

As always have mentioned, thought he was really poor aside from his goal

Expecting the rustiness to be in his game as he practically hasn't played for 12 months, but he was brushed off the ball 3 or 4 times in the time he was on the pitch

He didn't look impressed even when he scored, so something tells me he knows he's not at the level just yet, so hopefully plenty to improve on

Think he'll be in the 2nd string with Doku and Savinho, with Cherki, Foden, Marmoush and Haaland being our front 4

He is rusty, but very gifted, and also very determined to compete for his place. I would not loan him, and I would be making sure that he played cup games and increasing minutes in the PL. I think he is a potentially word-class player having watched him throughout the academy and in his time with the squad, limited though that is.

Nah stop this loan nonsense some of you are spouting.

He just needs a season with minutes in his legs.

He doesn't need to be a starter, or accumulate 3500+ mins.

He can be a rotation option and get a good solid 2000 mins, which he has still never done for us, so that's a good first step.

I suspect him, Doku and Savinho will all be battling it out for the 1v1 winger spot, I think Ait Nouri and Nunes will battle it out for the wide fullback spot (Nunes will lose, which is okay, because he is a backup anyways in my eyes).

I could potentially see him in those spots behind Haaland as well, but might complicate his role atm, probably needs a simplified RW role for now.

We'd be silly to loan him, IMO.
What if he barely gets playing time. How does that help bhis development?
We've got Marmoush, Haaland, Phil, Cherki, Savio, Doku for the front 4 positions. And that doesn include, Reijnders and Bernado who are Tweeners or Gundo who also can play AM.

The numbers aren't adding up for good minutes.

The chances of all those guys staying fit are slim to none, and maybe more importantly, Bobb at his best is better than all of those guys not named Foden.

What has he ever done that you say „ at his best“ ?
Playing 700 minutes? He hasn’t done nearly anything to what the guys above mentioned have done.
Let alone he isn’t even the best winger of his country and I doubt Nusa is better than any of those guys mentioned above.

The Bobb hype turned into a cult.

No one in the squad needs consistent game time more than Bobb. If that means a well-chosen loan to a team with a similar playing style in a top league, then I'm fine with that. Would love him to stay but the squad numbers and minute allocation might be against him this season

i would like my post to come back and kick me in the bollocks, but i just dont get all the love and attention for bob i think he is well belowe what we need, even before his injury, please prove me wrong oscar.

I watched him live last summer. Before the injury, he was head and shoulders the best player City had last summer. Looks a shell of that guy presently. :(

Needs playing time badly.

Few more games with EDS and he might be back to his previous form.
