Energy.

Reijnders is a breath of fresh air, He's everywhere without even looking like he's breaking sweat, Having him alongside Rodri this season is huge.

So much energy in our pressing game along with quicker tempo in our play, The ball is being moved so much quicker all over the pitch.

Is it just me or is anyone else surprised by Ait-Nouri? His level of performance and ability is incredible, Really enjoying watching him play, He will be a cracking player for us.

I thiugh Nunes was outstanding tonight too, I still don't think he's what is required long term for a right back position but can definitely play a part for us this season against lesser teams. I think he would get caught out against strong opposition in Europe as we've seen before from the likes of Zinchenko, Delph or Cancelo ect

It was also really fun to watch. Lots of movement off the ball, one touch passing, the midfield has pace and skill, when we where breaking them down there was a lot more “verticality” as Pep would say rather than side to side action.

It felt noticeably different to what we’ve been seeing since the treble season.

It felt closer to the period between 2017-2022, vertical threats, higher pressing, recycling possession, chance creation, think the backroom staff have played a part in that too, along with the signings and Pep acknowledging this season wasn't acceptable.

As you say, more fun whilst also getting the control back.

If the miserable cunts on here can't see what promise that has shown for the season ahead instead of saying it's pre season or Juve are shite or it's a friendly, then i fuckin despair, it's a trophy every team wants to win even if it's in it's infancy, to be first ever world champions in such a multi team tournament will be something, just cause the arsewipes and fuckwits in the sporting press over here aten't giving it credit
Must be a shit trophy because the pundits saying there’s no red shirts playing

I really enjoyed watching that, definitely better than a pre season friendly.

Lots to be very encouraged about, Doku sensational in the first half and needed Sav to get his shit together which I thought he did in the second half and the goal will have done him the world of good. All the new guys look excellent, Ait Nouri just what we’ve been missing. Rodders getting an hour etc etc.

What’s not to like? Roll on Tuesday.

It's been a long time since we've found ways of getting our full backs in behind a team that play back five so easily.

I love nothing more than seen the "cut back goals", That's City at it's finest under Pep getting our full back going beyond our wingers and pulling it back for a tap in.

Loved watching that tonight.

A brilliant performance from every player, and a great victory.

Some fantastic goals and some partnerships developing very nicely, none more so than Rayan A and Jérémy down the left. The pass from Aït-Nouri to Doku for the first goal was almost Merlin-esque.

The build-up play for the third and fourth goals was vintage Pep City. Both were brilliant team goals, with a simple finish each time. Neither Håland nor Foden will have an easier finish.

We are in a great position for the rest of the tournament.

Finally, Townsend didn’t half love sucking Juventus' cock.

Certainly not surprised about Ait Nouri. I’ve always rated him and thought he was perfect for us. So glad we’ve got him.
