We put five past one of the traditional giants of not only European, but world football, and still some can do nothing, but moan and criticise.

That's what I was saying during the PL campaign. Made more sense to get players right for this tournament than chase shadows in the league, where there's only something like 5 million difference per place, if that.

I genuinely wondered at one point if we had deliberately thrown it halfway into the bad run, when it was clear we weren't going to win it rather than end up completely knackered at the end of the season going into this compo. I would have.

That felt good. A great performance when the pressure was on to make sure we got the win and didn’t face Real Madrid next.

Pro or not, they make mistakes. There isn’t a player in the world who doesn’t, or shouldn’t.

Early days for Nico yet and I'm not sure he's fully fit. The rest are always going to be back up players at this stage in their careers.

Ok if its a fitness issue, then i understand. But he is not being favored at all this summer. :(
 
Players turning and driving into space in the middle was a joy.
Foden looking sharp.Rodri looking very tanned.All the new guys confident and sharp.
After Palace it was getting towards the old days.
It’s hard not seeing the prince in there as he would have had a hat trick today but City are getting there and Pep looks happy and so he should as today we were solid.

If any of the red shites were involved in this competition we wouldn't be hearing about how irrelevant the Club World Cup is. There would be no mention of the weather and how detrimental it will be on our performance in the Premier League next season.

That performance tonight was fantastic. This is our pre-season and what a great opportunity to help the new players and coaching staff get up to speed.

Slot will be well pissed off with that performance and he'll be itching to get cracking with his new players.

You are correct and on a post match thread you can say if a player did something good or something bad, same on the player performance ones. Some are positive some are negative. Imho the place is better for it with most sitting inbetween the extremes.
Thank god its not that awful scouse cult forum.
Ive been praising Nunes for ages and he's playing well so those fuckers slating him are gonna get it:-) it's not personal its just a forum.

I actually quit cigs years ago but if we bump into each other I will get you a pint instead.
