Juventus (N) | CWC | Post Match Thread

Now we're here, I really want to win it.

But this or the Premier League? No contest.
As Freddie Mercury sang
" I want it all""

PL of course but they are all interconnected now.
I'd hate to win the league 4 years in a row but not compete in this tournament because of poor performances like last season in the CL.

I don't know if I will make it but I am trying to stay up for the Real Madrid game. Ideally Real Madrid go out. The worse case scenario is that they finish 2nd. I don't mind if they win as they will go to the other side of the draw.

I think Juve were not the best but clearly they are a decent side playing a very important game and yet we were hugely dominant. It was great to see us play at that level again. I thought last season was a one-off but it nice to see evidence. We need more evidence.

We need Dias to be the old Dias.
Or Khus - who was in everybody's starting eleven right up until being dropped - to be given the chance to feel part of the team again.
Did something happen behind the scenes, that I've missed?

Biggest thing for me is that with the squad healthy (fingers crossed) it's going to allow us to change how the team plays game by game. We were great that first half and still had so much firepower on the bench.

Honestly not being this excited for a season since pre-season 17/18.

If you play everything through your keeper, as we have done since Pep's arrival, these keeper slip ups are inevitable. Even as good a footballer as Eddie is gonna f up 2/3 times a season. Sometimes you get away with it, sometimes you don't, I'll live with it.
This. Plus the unquantifiable benefit of retaining possession all those times over the years when we would otherwise have given the ball away...

Exactly, imagine our best middle field player is GK, he still slip ups at some point, it's just that his slip up as a middle field won't cause as big problem as Eddie role. So, it's just part of the game, we just move on.

Really enjoyed that performance, reminded me of the 17/18 18/19 seasons. Pep realised though that the style wouldn't win us the big prize, hopefully he can see somewhere we can compromise style into a more pragmatic way of contending

Energy.

Reijnders is a breath of fresh air, He's everywhere without even looking like he's breaking sweat, Having him alongside Rodri this season is huge.

So much energy in our pressing game along with quicker tempo in our play, The ball is being moved so much quicker all over the pitch.

Is it just me or is anyone else surprised by Ait-Nouri? His level of performance and ability is incredible, Really enjoying watching him play, He will be a cracking player for us.

I thiugh Nunes was outstanding tonight too, I still don't think he's what is required long term for a right back position but can definitely play a part for us this season against lesser teams. I think he would get caught out against strong opposition in Europe as we've seen before from the likes of Zinchenko, Delph or Cancelo ect
Wolves fan at work says we got a steal at 31m

Had a nightmare, had it in my head it was an 8pm kickoff US eastern, slipped into the blue oyster for a quickie on the way home from work just after 4 and it was live on the big 80 incher, don’t know what came over me
