Russian invasion of Ukraine

Trump's administration are so fucking needy...
Rubio on additional Russian sections:

If they won't stop the war, what's the point in talking to them?

Alternatively keep talking but flood Ukraine with weapons.

That or Trump really is Krasnov...

Bullies just love pacifists. They do part of the work for them.
There is only one language bullies speak, and that is power.
They don't have morals or empathy. They don't care about anybody but themselves.
Bullies will never stop with just words. Putin cannot stop this war now even if he wanted to. There will be no peace while he is in power. So no amount of "talking" is ending this.
If Trump truly wanted to end this war soon, then arm the Ukraine to the teeth, put as many sanctions against Russia as possible, and do the same to those supporting Putin.
Limit his war making capability through economics and ability, so that Russian people (with the ability themselves), decide he has to go.

Somebody needs to whisper into Trump's ear, that just like Iran, one big push and he can claim to have ended the Russian invasion all by himself!

Goof thread:

I’m pretty sure it was @BobKowalski that introduced me to the following wiki page which he described (on here, obviously) as having the best opening paragraph of any bio on Wikipedia. And he was absolutely right.

In the third paragraph is the following quote:

"Governments may think and say as they like, but force cannot be eliminated, and it is the only real and unanswerable power. We are told that the pen is mightier than the sword, but I know which of these weapons I would choose."

Sad, but true.

That is an insane opening paragraph. Why hasn't somebody made a film about him?

I notice that he didn't beat somebody at table tennis with a butter knife though :)

Funnily enough I was once asked for some random publications several years ago who I would invite for dinner and Carton de Wiart and Woosnam were both on the list!

The wiki article on him mentions he died without leaving any papers or anything, so there’s not much personal archive material (plus he will presumably have lost a load from his estate in Poland when he had to abandon it at the start of WW2).
Most post-death autobiographies use personal libraries of correspondence and notes to build a picture and history of a person. I presume film biography would need similar.

very interesting character though, not heard of him till this thread.
