"Tell me you know nothing about popular music without saying you know nothing about popular music".Elvis was a frontman who sung other people's songs. His main innovation was swinging his hips.
Elvis Costello, you on about.Elvis was a frontman who sung other people's songs. His main innovation was swinging his hips.
Yeah, I like The Last Shadow Puppets too actually. His journey as a writer has been a good one. He's a smart lad, he knew how to navigate away from the early sound and not get stuck with it..
The Cribs are really good but it's hard to say where to start. They have a very loyal fanbase. I really like the album In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull. They also had the album when Johnny Marr joined them "Ignore The Ignorant". Their first 2 albums are good but quite lo-fi and of their time. Although they're good albums, sometimes I don't think it is the best gateway into them because I think they expanded their sound for the better later on.
That's never stopped a few singers that are ridiculously popular on here. Names? Don't ask.He could never sing but he’s great energy for 80 and some good pop tunes. Don’t really know what people want from focs
I think he's referring to the guy who works down the chip shop.Elvis Costello, you on about.
They want them to croak so they can eulogise them and say how good they were.He could never sing but he’s great energy for 80 and some good pop tunes. Don’t really know what people want from focs
They want them to croak so they can eulogise them and say what a nonce they were.
He hasn’t got a clue. He isn’t called the King of Rock and Roll for nothing.I think he's referring to the guy who works down the chip shop.
Still onDid they cut Rod Stewart off? I’m watching on Iplayer and it cut off to two people talking on a settee:-/
Well yeah, most royals throughout history got their title by stealing it from someone else.He hasn’t got a clue. He isn’t called the King of Rock and Roll for nothing.
Incidentally it's a great story how that song came about. Sam Phillips, who owned the Sun label, had heard about Elvis and got him in, but wasn't impressed. About a year later he tried again but couldn't find the right song.He hasn’t got a clue. He isn’t called the King of Rock and Roll for nothing.
