FIFA Club World Cup 2025 | Knockout Stage

European teams aren't overestimated they just better.
A few good Brazilian and Argentinian teams but there has never been a good American team and never will be
In the first 44 years of the Inter-Continental Cup, a forerunner of the CWC, South America teams won 22-21 versus European opposition. The domination by European teams only came when the South American teams couldn’t match the wages on offer in Europe starting from the late 80s.

Tonight with the Bayern Vs Flamenco game will be the real test to see if the European teams have fully got back up to speed.

It certainly feels that way watching this.

I did say don't go to William Hill and put a bundle on my prediction to be fair :)
It's kind of like the group stages of the Champions League though, but worse. The problem is that even though the weaker teams might be decent enough, they're used to being the best team in their league and dominating. So when they come up against a team like PSG or us, they often can't suddenly shift their entire playing style to some kind of park-the-bus merchants. You often see that young players have a better goalscoring record in the Champions League than they do in the Premier League, because while the likes of Southampton might be shite, they are at least well-drilled in making things difficult.

He should just retire now , walking around the pitch doing absolutely nothing!
In that league he probably gets away with it.
We seen it the earlier games, he walks about and players ignore him and that helps him find space.
PSG are too good for that and that’s why he looks lazy and shit.
He was the GOAT imo and he can still have moments but time waits for no man.
