Well done boys. Rest, recover and we start the season afresh.
Not much mention that the team is fairly new and in transition. I thought the new signing fitted in well.
Once rested, we have the bones of a great team. A right back, and a more settled defence is needed. Looking forward to the new season!

We ain’t back yet and we look no better than last season. Serious issues to make this team hard to beat again. Second to every ball and out fought.

They deserved that. Really well played.
Our soft underbelly persists and I worry that our total lack of defensive solidity is going to cause last season's confidence issues to reoccur.
I was never arsed about this competition but it's been a better insight to the standard of the team than the usual preseason friendlies.

While we were not at all good in back, I don’t see how the defenders can be blamed when Reindjers decides to play a to-no-one header into six of the opposition with no protection behind him. That wasn’t on the CBs.

Better to go out now. A good break for the players now and then regroup before the PL kicks off in 6 1/2 weeks.
Plenty of positives to take from this tournament, and a reminder that we still need to sharpen up in certain areas. Hopefully that defeat will give them the kick up the arse they need.
A special mention for the City OS commentator, Ali Man who said '"City's defence has been watertight...", just as we kicked off for the second half and immediately conceded. Commentators curse indeed - TWAT ;-)

We’ll win absoloutley nothing as long as savinho is a starting winger of ours, he’s absolutely miles off what’s required to get us back to where we want to be.You will get abuse for it but you're spot on. I would also add Savinho to that list.
No output, no fight, lightweight…would cash in asap and move him on along with any of Dias, akanji or Ake.
