The Labour Government

BTW, changing the subject a bit, how long do guys think Starmer has left? I have a sneaking feeling (call it a long shot) that he's going to resign later this week. Depends on how the vote goes tomorrow. I think if he loses it, or wins only by the skin of his teeth, he may throw in the towel. Also depends on when the story about the superinjunction and the rent boys finally breaks ;-)
Sounds like something lifted from a far-right conspiracy theorist website. I didn't realise you were into that shit mate ;)

Very big day politically.

The clock is ticking on Starmer and Reeves regardless imo. Labour MPs will move against them pretty soon I think.
You can currently get odds of 5/1 for Starmer to step down this year which suggests it's far less likely than you think. That doesn't mean it definitely won't happen but if something was truly in the air then the bookies would be pricing it in for sure

Don't you think it's odd that the press are not all over Starmer's private life, like they were with Boris? 3 gay male models set fire to Starmers' former property and there's not a word said about possible motivations? That's very, very odd unless there is some court order in place.

Who knows, may come to nothing. Personally, I am pretty convinced he's gay, or at least bi, which is up to him and doesn't bother me either way. But if it comes out, I think he'll face a lot of questions about his lack of honesty in various matters.

I thought there had been a suggestion that it could be terrorism related? Also, that property has been targeted in the past by pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Were they part of a Grindr meet too? ;)

Johnson largely got a free pass for the first 12 months or so of his leadership. And to be fair, the press didn't have to do too much digging into his private life to find out some of the stuff that was going on. And his promotion of Chris Pincher was done in plain sight, exacerbated by the fact that it came out he'd lied about knowing (or rather, not knowing) what Pincher had been up to. In any case, Johnson was ultimately ousted by people in his own party because they were fed up of having to cover up for his constant lying.

Okay cool.

Whens the Starmer Ukrainian rent boys story dropping then?

Could do with another election...

Dropping after we find out what meeting Bill Gates and Larry Fink no sooner he got his no.10 slippers on were for.

So never.

Lavrynovych damaged Starmer's front door allegedly in retaliation for damage Starmer did to his back door and failing to compensate him for it.Less revolving doors more damaged doors it seems.

Damaged his back door you say? Precisely my point ;-)

As one wag put it when asked what had motivated these lads to do these attacks, “It’s the way they were reared”.

instead of getting all giddy with a likely right wing conspiracy why not wait the outcome of the investigation, these things can take months and months, if you're desperate for some sort of conspiracy then it could be Russia related or as simple as them angry over failed asylum claims.

Maybe. Doesn't explain however why there's no open media debate about it though. Anyway I'm sure we'll find out in due course.

Maskell deserves a lot of praise.

On face value you'd imagine having a 170 seat majority was the best possible thing and everything would be a walk in the park.

But someone pointed out that the reality is when you have 400-odd MPs (400 odd MPs, lol) there's enough of them to form sizeable cliques, sizeable enough to do serious damage if they decide to rock the boat. And unlike when 1 or 2 rebell and defy the whip, there's safety in numbers. If 50 rebell today, Starmer cannot possibly withdraw the whip from all of them, so he's powerless to do anything.

If Maskell was one of only a handful, she'd be kicked out for this.

Probably because the media are mainly focusing on the genocide in Gaza, the Welfare reform bill and what the madman is doing over in America rather than speculating on a twitter rumor whilst a investigation is going on.

It's sub judice. Get a grip.
Here we go, our trusty and reliable Labour spokesman steps in.

Anyway, not a chance, it's far too much fun ;-)

And EDIT, genuine question: Have you ever openly criticised Starmer and Labour for anything? Seriously. If you have then fair enough, and I obviously missed it.

You see I criticise the Tories all the time. I've slagged them off repeatedly over all sorts of stuff, which shows I am not *entirely* biased. But it seems like you'd argue black was white rather than admit to any Labour faults.

If you have been reasonabe and fair-minded, I apologise sincerely.
