We could have got Liam Brady? And after all......
I actually feel a bit sorry for Vitor Reis he has lost 6 months of first team football because we were so determined to bring him in in January despite palmeirais wanting him for the CWC that we paid extra. Then pep has barely used him and he’s been seen more at the Trafford centre than on the pitch.Based on the last few weeks I'd be feckin amazed if Khusanov/Reis and Gonzales are still around come September.
For whatever reason Pep just isn't interested in playing them - so no sense them hanging around.
I wonder if there's a disconnect between Viana working on "data" signings (assuming he had input in January), and what Guardiola actually sees. If that is the case we're screwed until one of them leaves
They used to play Matt Diablo in the Hacienda. I was one of three people in there on a Wednesday night. We could have got Liam Brady?
He managed to make Amorim seem half decent.Pep should be Director of Football for City, probably.
Viana has won SFA
Completely agree with you.I actually feel a bit sorry for Vitor Reis he has lost 6 months of first team football because we were so determined to bring him in in January despite palmeirais wanting him for the CWC that we paid extra. If pep wasn’t going to use him then let him stay on loan and continue with Simpson-Pusay.
You would think Khaldoon would at some point have to step in and either tell the DOF to do better with their signings or tell pep you have to use the players we have spent hundreds of millions on!! We can’t continually end up with players pep doesn’t want or use.
I would love a journalist to actually ask pep why don’t you use the players that have been signed. Obviously wouldn’t answer in a million years.
One of them is coming and the other one is going…and the whole point of a DoF is to remove the coach from the need to scout or find players.Based on the last few weeks I'd be feckin amazed if Khusanov/Reis and Gonzales are still around come September.

I don’t think he says, “they’re not playing,” but rather, “I’m not seeing enough in training to put them ahead of Bill, Jim or Fred!”We can't though - there's no point in them just sitting around the campus and training with no game time.
The simplistic conversation between Viana and Guardiola is - "which of these players will you actually play??"
We all have opinions (most seem to be removing the older players - which I agree with), but if Pep turns round and says "they're not playing" we need to find options for them
He`s not had the time to do much FFS !!He's done fuck all for two weeks...

Answers the question in every presser, but it always relates to Jack!I would love a journalist to actually ask pep why don’t you use the players that have been signed. Obviously wouldn’t answer in a million years.
Having read your response - I've altered my view.I don’t think he says, “they’re not playing,” but rather, “I’m not seeing enough in training to put them ahead of Bill, Jim or Fred!”
The next question is then “Are you slightly blinkered on your views on those three players because of past loyalties, and can we at least give them opportunities to gain the experience needed to mature at this level?”
That answer would be very interesting to hear!
I actually feel VERY sorry for Reis - simply because he lost the opportunity to play for Palmeirais in the CWC.I actually feel a bit sorry for Vitor Reis he has lost 6 months of first team football because we were so determined to bring him in in January despite palmeirais wanting him for the CWC that we paid extra. Yeah, there's too many of both on here at times. But opinions are like assholes eh
I'm sure his bank balance is a lot healthierI actually feel VERY sorry for Reis - simply because he lost the opportunity to play for Palmeirais in the CWC.
As a club we've wasted 6 months of development for the lad (and before anyone starts he'd learn more playing competative football matches).
As for point 2 - we've just appointed Viana, so if we weren't sure he was going to get the type of player we wanted it'd be odd.
I think we may have dropped the ball with Pep, I'm not convinced he really wanted another 2 years, and a new Dof and manager at the same time would have made more sense
But opinions are like assholes eh
