Parried the ball directly into other players for both goals. That's terrible goalkeeping at any decent level.I’m sorry but parry it anywhere but the middle of the goal. Both keepers not at the required level.

I don't understand how they derived the rate in the right-hand column?
Edit - Ah, I see. XG conceded divided by actual goals conceded.
Though I dont trust the figures (I never do when the source isn't shown). Some can be pretty poor and xG changes depending on whose model you use. The ones I've seen I previous seasons have had some keepers costing their teams goals too, these seem less varied.

Ever since as a sixth former I went on a visit to UMIST to see what universities were all about I have had a mistrust of mathematicians and statisticians. We were given a presentation by a guy who was developing RCB/ELCB’s to replace the rewireable fuses that were the norm in those days. He described the relationship between the current passing through the body and its lethality. My first concern was how the data was collected - would you volunteer to take part in this type of experiment? However he produced a graph of lethality v time and level of the current in order to know how quickly his circuit breakers had to react. He then made a statement that has stuck with me for the best part of sixty years. “The trouble with graphs like this are that some mathematician or statistician will extrapolate it to say that if you put your fingers across bell battery terminals for twenty nine years it will kill you”.
My subsequent experience as a microscopist taught me to trust my eyes rather than statistics particularly where I wasn’t sure how the figures were derived. My eyes, on admittedly extremely limited observation, would tell me that the best shot stopper I have seen in the Premiership would be Raya of Arsenal but he appears towards the bottom of the above table. So I suspect that there are other factors influencing the figures in the table as well as the inherent characteristics of the individual keepers. But that may just be my prejudices.
In my view Ederson is not a poor keeper and indeed I think he would be a brilliant keeper in, say, a Liverpool set up where his ability to pick out Salah with his radar guided passes would be lethal. It is just that most of his time in our set up he is making 10-20 yard passes which Joe Hart could make. So a lot of his unique talent is wasted - great and spectacular when it comes off though.

You may well be right, it’s all about opinions. The tactics change every single season, often not significant changes, but they do change. It may only need a move to leave 3 at the back rather than 2, or a change in the default positions defenders move towards when the ball is lost, who knows, I certainly don't, but just changing the defenders is not going to work in isolation, whereas having a goalkeeper who can save shots might just improve thingsChanging tactics is the easiest and most obvious thing, but it’s never going to happen.

Ederson I think is a net liability for our side.
His keeper errors outweigh his passing ability.
We'd be much better off with a WC shot-stopper who is deft enough on the ball to play good passes to our CB's/midfielders.
Ederson offers a unique challenge to the opposition when on the ball - able to complete killer passes - and long passes over the top of a defense - that no other keeper in the world can complete. But against that, he's error prone - and IMO his negatives in keeping outweigh his positives at distribution - leading to more goals scored against us than with a better keeper.
