PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Just a little thought here ……
Is this huge delay in the verdict because the PL are thrashing out a compensation package for MCFC ?

Happy Friday everyone !

More chance of Putin fucking off out of Ukraine than the PL giving us compensation for anything.

I remember one of the people who knew what they were talking about saying that there's a road for City to sue the entire league for reputational damage if they can show this led to loss of earnings.
An astronomically small chance that will never happen but it is technically possible to do.

Still, would be a laugh though

If you’re being treated differently, it’s discriminatory, not whataboutery, so I’d say yes, absolutely
the charges had nothing about discrimination included it was about failing PSR, you can't add charges against the PL and you can't discuss something completely different to the charge you're up against

The charges wouldn’t have anything about discrimination in them.

We are free to claim we have been discriminated against tho

The charges pre date PSR and are not about failing it rather not complying with the rules regarding basically reporting

I agree it looks like we are not going to challenge what’s been allowed with other clubs and I agree the tribunal doesn’t seem to be the place tho I perhaps things would change if we where found guilty surely things have to be fair

I know it's a hearing as opposed to a trial, but can you imagine someone on criminal trial trying to use what other people have been up to as their defence? It's just not plausible.

I'm not disagreeing with your overall point, it should be fair and equal, but if that's the basis of our defence then we're up shit creek without a paddle, as they say.

Tbf that applies to all clubs, but the worrying part is the number of US owners in the Pl, and their combined influence and objectives for the future structure of the league along the lines of the Super League.

The undue pressure they may be able to exert upon the PL and certain members, with individuals like Masters at the head, is concerning as corruption is never far away from affecting their decisions.

City are the only club ( as far as I know ) who have actually challenged the running and authority of the PL , and that process is proving to be a long drawn-out and expensive exercise.

Perhaps the expense which other clubs will be forced to pay in support of the PL's actions will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

But the US owners are a massive issue imo .
They are more than an issue they are a big problem. (why do people now use the word Issue when they mean Problem)

They may have no choice. A decision has still not been resolved in the APT case where they will probably have to compensate us for the blocked sponsorship deals for starters. If they lose the 115 case it will probably start a financial bloodbath.

Think there’s some crossed wires here mate

The previous poster was saying he thinks there’s nothing untoward going on, otherwise the other clubs would be all over it

You disagreed with the poster, I agreed with the poster

If there was something untoward going on, which clearly there were isn’t, it would have to be something such as discrimination, which isn’t whataboutery

Maybe I misunderstood your post? Who knows? Who cares? Do you like egg & cress sandwiches?

Universal are opening a Bedfordshire park in 2031 with a ride height limit of 115 metres. No coincidence this... That's when the decision should be completed
