I saw him do what Messi couldn't do.. completely manhandle our defense and walk through our midfield. Granted that was when we were at our worst.. but even if he's not top class.. he's a very capable player..

I thought he could combine with Haaland very well at the time but we went with Marmoush instead and I think that was the right choice. His pressing and control is much better.

I don't think RB is the problem as much as CB. We need to move the old guys on.

They've a much better defence than us and that's the only place they're better than us in at the moment. Saliba and Gabriel partnership would be immense for us.

Have they? Zubimendi is a direct replacement for partey, imo partey is the better playing and no guarantee he slots straight in.

Gyokeres is an enormous gamble, he may well turn out to be a great signing but right now there's just as much chance he's the new darwin nunez and they want to ship him out again in 12 months time. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Havertz is still their first choice striker.

Eze is a good player, is he better than Martinelli? Don't think that's definitive either way, minor improvement at best but adds good squad depth if its an addition and not a replacement. although, is he anything but a rumour at present?

Arteta was willing to put up with growing pains of Saliba and Gabriel much like Pep was earlier with Stones.

I think that needs to be done again with Khusanov and Reis but if we still have the old farts blocking their path.. not gonna happen.

We desperately need to get younger. Can still plug holes with specialists like Ake when against an elite forward but have to give them time and experience in our system.

I understand what you're saying, and I will admit that they have both improved. But I don't think it explains it. I think Arteta never got confident he could compete against Guardiola's attacking game and its richness. In the process he became desperate and chose to sacrifice the team's identity. They even became "dirtier"...

You can argue the defensive output is very good, perhaps impressive, the numbers are there for everyone to see. But it did not help him win the league. You will find Arsenal fans (I'm not talking about fanatics and idiots obviously) who are wondering if this strategic decision was worth it...

I completely agree with that. Reis and Khusanov need to be given a go together.

Using the Madueke cash to get an upgrade in Kudus. Not bad business but apparently Kudus only wants Spurs since he wants to be an consistent starter - still would prefer Chelsea. Won’t win shit with Spurs
