Manchester Airport police assault trial | Man found guilty of assaulting two female police officers

Assuming it’s referring to the kick, that was all after the assaults from the two cunts wasn’t it? How could that be used in defence?
To be fair he was an armed officer very first thing he had to do was ensure he managed to keep control of that weapon which left him very little to control a manic with except his feet not knowing where the other nutter was, it happened very quickly, I’m glad he did what was necessary to subdue him. The police woman deserves a medal as well taking a punch like that and returning back into the fight.

No I agree with that, he deserved more than a kicking, but what I mean is all that happened after the two had done their assault, so how is his lawyer using that in a defense argument? It happened because of them.

The thing is are this double act fit to mix with the rest of the human race, the attack on the first guy was bad enough but then to follow that up with the attack on the police officers suggests it would be better for the rest of us if the spent a very long time away from society.
I agree mate.

Sentencing guidelines say 2 years.

But surely that’s not the charge that would see the lengthiest sentence? ie, the fact that the assault is on an emergency worker is an aggravating factor of causing actual bodily harm rather than being the substantive offence?

Otherwise you could smash a policeman over the head with a hammer and throw acid in his face and only get two years for it.

They were suffering with Mental Health at the time so set them both free.

Too soon? Have i beat their lawyer to it?

C*nts the both of them.

Stop their benefits and take their Audi & Merc vehicles (which they have through their parents PIP) away*

*this is a guess but you never know ;-)

I’m guessing some kind of lengthy travel ban is being considered as wouldn’t like to be sat next to these on the plane

Yep. Ideally tied to an oil rig in the middle of the North Sea.

The twat in the blue outfit looks like he can handle himself. If he has trained in martial arts or boxing, does that add to the gravity of what he has done, would it likely increase his sentence. I’m asking this as my lad does both MMA and boxing, and the coaches have told him it stays in the gym.
I think its a grey area, but I have definitely been told the same at boxing. Not sure if its just a wild tale to keep people out of trouble

the use of martial arts skills in an assault can lead to a court viewing those skills as an aggravating factor, potentially classifying the hands or feet as deadly weapons, especially if significant harm results

2 years would be the maximum for something minor against an emergency service worker - something you’d normally get a few months for or a fine if it was anyone else. If it was a hammer or acid that would be GBH which is anything up to life.

I thought he looked shite. His legwork wasn’t that of a boxer and neither were his punches.

Mate. It was a bit tongue in cheek.
I’m surrounded by them.
Scallies in Mum/Dads PIP cars causing trouble instead of getting jobs.
I know loads on PIP and their kids use the car 99% of the time. I think they are allowed to though as long as they take Mum and/or Dad shopping or to appts etc .

Don't get me started on the druggies and alcys on pip though.

2 years for assaulting a police officer, 3 years for posting some words on Facebook. This country is truly up shit creek.
You seem obsessed with this Facebook story. It’s very unusual for anyone to get custodial sentences for posting shit online and it’s only when it’s extreme and has a large audience. I’d compare it to conspiracy rather than comparing it to an assault. Conspiracy to murder without actually doing it can get many years imprisonment, and arguably posting incitement online for someone else to commit murder is similar to this. Either way it’s fuck all to do with this case so I don’t know why you keep raising it.
