Hugo Viana | Director of Football

I suspect people get spurious information from social media and then regurgitate it here as bilious fact. It makes many look utterly spoiled and akin to angry teenagers with nothing better to do.
Stage 1 - get the deals done for targeted purchases.
Stage 2 - arrange the transfer of unwanted squad members by the end of the transfer window.

Guess what, he has until the 1st September to complete stage 2.

Pep hates the youth sadly. Wouldn’t surprise me if Viana ends up loaning out everyone of the younger guys and we end up with basically the same squad.
Huijsen and cubarsi are going to start for Madrid and Barcelona. Leoni is most likely moving to inter and will start there at the age of 18. there are enough cases
O’Reilly; Foden; Lewis; Gvardiol Savio & Doku say Hi

They may start, they may not; it may go well, it may not.
Even if they do, you could also discuss Endrick, an absolute golden-boy who now doesn't get game time and is going on loan. You are cherry-picking to make yet another negative comment. Do you not understand how blessed we are and have been?
We are at the beginning of the transfer window with no knowledge of who is staying or going. As for Pep hating youth, it is absolute nonsense, as Rico, Phil, and Nico alone will testify. I think you would be more correct to say that many posters here hate youth.

Good reply to a stupid post

I don’t think he says, “they’re not playing,” but rather, “I’m not seeing enough in training to put them ahead of Bill, Jim or Fred!”

The next question is then “Are you slightly blinkered on your views on those three players because of past loyalties, and can we at least give them opportunities to gain the experience needed to mature at this level?”

That answer would be very interesting to hear!
Surely he's seeing enough in training to put one or two ahead of Bernardo for starters. Bernardo has been brilliant for us but for most of last season and the CWC he's been stinking the place out, Must be really tough to take for younger players to see someone regularly put in 5/10 performances yet they still get in the starting lineup. Pep seems blind to Bernardo's obvious decline.

Peps ego would rather that than to have used players the club signed without his permission.
Is this the Ego that got a patched together squad due to loads of injuries to be unbeaten for 14 games and end up third in the league, three points behind Arsenal, qualifying for the Champions league when it seemed very unlikely in January?

People seem to have already forgotten this when saying he should have played player X or player Y more.

That was the luckiest spell he has ever had in charge . Outplayed for the most part with other teams just unable to put the ball in the net . Crystal Palace at home an example. A circus . They should have been 4 nil up . Forest in the cup another example . Luck finally ran out in the final.

I am sure he used some of the new signings that according to the comment he didn’t want or at least not in January

We see Bernardo’s contribution very differently.
