We don't have to fill the HG (CT or AT) quota, it's a maximum, not a minimum. We'd just have a smaller squad but could take up the slack with youth players if needed.

The signs are Pep wants us to play quicker in the final third with the new players and Jack is too slow. I don’t see how he fits in our team anymore. Besides, he’s way down the pecking order.

Something is not right with Jack and Pep, and there is only going to be one winner. Pep says the right things about his players and never digs out a player in interviews, but when you're not playing or not even getting picked for the FIFA World Club Cup, it's clear you're done.

City has 2 options now, one is to loan him out or sell him for cheap and get him off the books
It's Sad Really, because Jack can be an ideal player for Pep with his strength on the ball and is hard to knock him off the ball, In the treble season, he was outstanding and the key player for me in anything we won

He dug out Jack, I distinctly remember him saying on tv that he wanted "the treble Jack" back.
That said it all to me. It's a huge statement to make about a senior player, it's a huge criticism.

I completely understand where Pep was coming from because even though he was played left wing during the treble season he was moving in and out towards the penalty area, tracking back working very hard. In The following season his work dropped off a cliff and he was less mobile and just kept recycling the ball to Gvardiol or Rodri.
It's like he stopped working hard and stayed out wider.

Anyway the treble Jack didn't come back and he slowly dropped out of favour with Pep.

I don't think we should send him out on loan and pay most of his salary because what ever value Jack has will only diminish as he gets older and nearer to the end of this contract, we should endeavor to sell him for a small fee and get him off the wage bill.

The amount of times I've read we signed Phillips to fill a spot - no we signed him because we thought he was good enough nothing to do with with filling a spot. Unfortunately he was nowhere near good enough!

We've been lucky enough recently to have players in those slots who were good enough to be in our team, it feels a struggle to get that quality now.

A Treble is such a rare, precious and incredible achievement any player who was very much a part of that has to have been a worthwhile addition, and thereby astute.

It amazes me that we have a generational talent here for sale, a player who single handily won us the treble, a player who wins games for us by just being on the pitch and winning fouls, a player who was the heartbeat of the side over the past 3 seasons yet nobody seems to want him.

It’s almost as if football is a very small world and everybody knows he has not been living the life away from the pitch and professional clubs don’t want his type. Just look at Rooney (somebody who was way more talented that grealish) and see how much he declined at a similar age. If you don’t live the life it will catch up with you.

We should have fucked him off when he was sent him from training and left out of Fulham squad during the title run in. Pep has given Grealish so many chances yet some will still blame pep for his downfall!

It will be a loan with us covering most of his ridiculous wages. I still have no idea why pep was so desperate to sign him. It was clear he was never going to live the life and besides I never thought he was that good to begin with
