He played next game there and was shiteI remember him bossing the game at home to Forest, starting in the middle and yet not getting an opportunity there for the rest of the season.
I think what I most remember him for is the Liverpool 4-1 game and the challenge on Salah as the dippers were about to go 0-2 up. If Doku, Savinho, Bobb and Marmoush play until they’re 40, Liverpool are 0-2 up if any of them are playing in that game.
How many times did you replay that single incident in Football Manager to come up with that Mystic Meg crap?I remember him bossing the game at home to Forest, starting in the middle and yet not getting an opportunity there for the rest of the season.

Fair enough. He played next game there and was shite

I suppose the all round season long excellence of Gundogan, Silva and Kovacic playing in the middle probably meant that one bad game for Grealish was one too many.
He didn't. He was dropped the next game and didn't play there again in the league IIRC. He did play there in a cup game at home and was good.He played next game there and was shite

Can we just keep him and try and get back the quality player we know he can be. On his day I’d take him ahead of most of our wingers.
Come on pep, get that world class coaching into use ;)
What exactly is he going to turn over? he has given us his best, like literally, what you see or have seen is what you would always get, it's not going to get any better than this. You really think we could have kept Rodwell and turned him into Rodri? or Mangala and turned him into Maldini? You keep a player like Mangala if you are fine with the odd own goal here and there, the clumsy defending and the odd moment of defensive brilliance, unfortunately those odds don't get you the title.
3 seasons is enough to realize that a professional player past 25 has given you all he can, you either get used to that level of performance or you come to the realization that perhaps its best if both parties part ways. No ill intent, no media backlash, just an amicable decision for club and player to go their separate ways.

Just seen the clip, he has had more than a few i agree with you. Such a sad look hope he can sort himself out
