FIFA Club World Cup 2025 | Knockout Stage

I enjoyed the game last night and expect a bit of a thriller in the final, now I know I will get some stick for this and it's probably deserve but I would like to see the chavs win it.
I love PSG for their exciting style of play - and have nothing against their squad now that MBappe, Neymar, Alves, etc., are no longer in their side. I expect that PSG will dominate the game and win big - and I hope so - but in a one-off game, anything might happen.

Alonso got his work cut out. He knows he needs to get rid of deadwood like Mbappe, Vinicius and Bellingham in order to replace them with proper team players.

I always thought Mbappe was a disruptor. You cannot have him and Vinicius in the same team, it's one or the other.

The biggest losses to Real Madrid for me in the last few years are Modric and Kroos.

For a decade those two players would have walked into any team in the world, are two of the best players to play their positions ever to exist, and one of them won the Ballon d'Or. You cannot just replace quality like that.

This is a fascinating look into why PSG were so good against Madrid - including quotes from Enrique and a fascinating quote from Courtois - along with tactical analysis. The title of the video is very misleading - it should have been titled something along the lines of, "How PSG Dominated Los Blancos," or somesuch.

Real madrid are a team of dysfunctional individuals and PSG are an actual team pulling together.

No pontification just the way it is.

Enrique tactically completely reset this PSG side after Mbappe left and what a side he built wow. very hard working side, off the ball they are fantastic. on the ball they are quick, direct, safe with the ball, everyone knows where to run, when to run. teams do hate play against them.
hope Pep watches them and tries to implement some of the stuff from them. I bet Enrique analyzed City as well between 2021/2023.

And in the heat of the US....I dread to think how good they will be when they can really run in normal temperatures.

That said, it would be very Chelsea for them to do them tonight.

The BBC and ITV are a most useless shower.
ITV are now showing Preston vs the dippers.
They couldn't be arsed showing the CWC or the recent U21Euro's.
ITV's football coverage is awful, full stop. While the Beeb are a long, long way from perfection, it's frightening how far ahead of ITV they are. Woeful presenters and pundits, and dreadful commentators.

Watched the build up with my daughter while we're waiting for the Lionesses

She asked, "why are they showing City losing and the other team celebrating when we're not even playing?!"

I had to laugh. Even a 7 year old can see how bitter they are towards us

That Chelsea backline is piss weak. They keep buying random attacking players for positions they're stacked in when their best cb is somebody they deemed not good enough 12 months ago and tried to ship out and Sanchez is inexplicably the best option from the half a dozen keepers they have. Expect PSG to stroll this as I have done all along.

Aside from the £50m windfall we threw away, it's quietly a good thing we didnt progress to face PSG, they would absolutely annihilate us and our suicidal tactics.
