Rashford talks is current as they're (allegedly) due this week to see what the club want in terms of a transfer. That's also on the Paper Talk section and is a quote from The Mirror, not from Sky.

Either way,it’s something that we all knew,apart from the timing,as this subject has been covered daily for many months now… There will never be a time when utd aren’t featured at all,out of 70 stories,..no news or not.

I go back to one of my original comments to you about this, slightly rephrased. I don't see the logic that a City reporter owes anything to City fans outside of reporting facts and gossip about City. I don't care if Tommy Docherty was the reporter as long as he was rational which I believe Sam is.

As I said, I accept there's a line here in client journalism. I don't accept that rational people can put 99% of people in that. I'd be much more understanding of someone like Lewis Oldham but would even find that unfair.

Talkshite this morning talking about how far the rags have fallen behind the top clubs,
You know the ones, Liverpool,arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle, think they might of thrown spuds in there aswell.

Yea I don’t even know why this is a thing, namely Sam Lee appreciation society. Some posters like to play devils advocate and preach from the moral high ground of intelligent waffle.

For myself personally, Sam is not the type of journalist I want reporting on city. He cosied up to the morons on the WhatsApp group and he takes the piss with 115 trolling after having us fucked at CAS.

He is no different to any other social media hack, click and talk absolute shite. The other so called big clubs have friendly journalists so why can’t we have one aswell?

Because it does not pay and you would have to go against the red tide which means you will be chucked out and broke. So you have to then decide do I want to make a name and living or do I want to report truth and facts. It’s an easy decision and a popular choice.

I can't really comment about Sam Lee, but then again, I tend to avoid the modern breed of football journalism as most articles seem more focused on clickbait than sticking to the bare facts.

Martin Samuel made this exact point on the original Sunday Supplement many years ago.

That's why "115 charges" finds its way into any article about City and also why I'll never subscribe to the Athletic and their infinite tedious references to "the worlds biggest football club" whenever writing about a certain local rival.

However, having umpired at Cholmondeley Castle last Monday (Cheshire Gents v Indian Tourists) I'm in a good position to confirm the complete absence of goose shit.

Mind you, it was extremely windy.
