FIFA Club World Cup 2025 | Knockout Stage

I've always found Chelsea fans, especially the older contingent who were just like us once, to be decent and magnanimous, including post defeat at Wembley. I wouldn't begrudge them or Palmer the victory over what has become a very good side.

I also don't get the hate for Palmer; he's a local lad, wanted to play, and our best ever manager decided he couldn't make it work but he's making a decent fist of it. I don't think it would have worked for him at City. Such is life. x

We should be approaching the 60th minute right now. Instead the second half is yet to kick off. They're going to need a 5 minute warm up if this carries on any longer.

I really hope one of the managers has a moan about it post match. If they want the competition to be taken more seriously, this is exactly how not to do it.

Nothing connected to the USA should be taken seriously. It's a joke of a nation.

When football was formed in 1992 sky sports had all this shit going on for televised games.
I'm sure for our first Monday night game v QPR we had skydivers, cheerleaders and a band playing on the pitch.

Was fuckin awful back then.
I was there mate. The sky strykers throwing t shirts into the Kippax, and then getting then thrown right back at them. Tony Cotons debut. Fucking mint.

That’s funny. When Foden lead us to a title I wasn’t hearing these comparisons. One bad season and suddenly he’s the Savio compared to Mahrez in these conversations. As we speak the only big six teams Palmer has performed against are Spurs and United. He’s got 2 NPG in his career against the big six compared to Foden’s 17
Read my post please, I did not say that. I ve just stated, that with the ball in his feet, playing one-on-one against a defender, Palmer is not only better, he is much better than Foden, and that's why I compared him to Riyad. Just my view, if you disagree I respect your opinion.

Before this match kicked off it seemed like PSG had the Chumps League wrapped up for the next decade and now they’d be lucky to get a point off palace in the europa conference.

Perhaps the adulation was a tad misplaced. As pointed out on here, they had to qualify for the latter stages of the CL and they lost in the group stages of this comp to Botofago. In the words of American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow “when (they’re) good they’re very very good but when (they’re) bad they’re horrid.”

Perhaps they’ll be very very good second half.

Don’t think anyone’s calling him Messi or denying the fact he’s had a poor spell in the Premier League, he’s had an amazing game so far tonight don’t see much point in denying that either.
There's literally posts on here praising his consistency, lol.

Funny old game PSG looked like they were going to go on a dominant Europe until today now they look very ordinary and totally unlike the team that won the UCL and schooled Real
Not been overly impressed with Chelsea this tournament but today Meresca has got hi tactics spot on

They gave up a lot of chances when we played them, and we must never forget that Arsenal "beat them on xG" ;)
