FIFA Club World Cup 2025 | Knockout Stage

I've always found Chelsea fans, especially the older contingent who were just like us once, to be decent and magnanimous, including post defeat at Wembley. I wouldn't begrudge them or Palmer the victory over what has become a very good side.

I also don't get the hate for Palmer; he's a local lad, wanted to play, and our best ever manager decided he couldn't make it work but he's making a decent fist of it. I don't think it would have worked for him at City. Such is life. x
I found the older fans to be horrible racist cunts, the NF were big at Chelsea back in the day

This will be the premier league in a few years. The American shite needs binning off

All the premiers fault these American owners using premier teams as a pension ! Horse has bolted and while these American owners are here they’ll continually use dirty tactics against us if we stay at the top! It’s just in the Americans DNA in big business to be kunts

Plus it’ll really wind up Arsenal and Tottenham fans

Before this match kicked off it seemed like PSG had the Chumps League wrapped up for the next decade and now they’d be lucky to get a point off palace in the europa conference.

Perhaps the adulation was a tad misplaced. As pointed out on here, they had to qualify for the latter stages of the CL and they lost in the group stages of this comp to Botofago. In the words of American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow “when (they’re) good they’re very very good but when (they’re) bad they’re horrid.”

Perhaps they’ll be very very good second half.
Not really much different from us. We're brilliant when we're winning and tragic when we're not, at least according to most on the post-match thread. Fans are so fickle but now largely take their cues from the media.

Wayne Rooney sulking because there wasn't a hint of Diana Ross's tit on show in all that.
(Or was it Janet Jacksons)

What I don’t understand is we can spend huge amounts of money on unproven youngsters from other clubs and give them game time to develop, patience, even when they are out of form (savinho for example),but we can’t do that with our own youngsters
Who doesnt do that? How many parisians are in this PSG side? Chelsea have more city youngsters in their side than their our academy players

Palmer has to come back next season fodens had one poor season out of 5/6 it’s funny some fans want to talk about foden or palmer foden stepped up to win the league and is more a team player in a team palmer is more of an individual that everything has to go through him to make him look quality

I agree on the whole with what you are saying, but, and it’s a big but, thing is, you are ignoring that Palmer didn’t actually play much first team (important) football for us. He literally had a month or two of popping up with moments of magic just before being sold. It is exactly what could have happened with Foden if he had listened to the media when they were saying he should move on (thank god he didn’t) in 19/20 even 21. If we had sold him then it would have been the same thing a few years earlier. His terrible season last year has just escalated the selling palmer was stupid mindset. Unfortunate, but hopefully Phil gets back to his best soon!
