Of course I didnt miss it hence why I posted "when he was out".Perhaps you missed it but he missed all of last season with a broken leg and various niggles after.

Surely that can’t be the case, as it seemingly applies to every young academy player we have. If that is the case then we’d need to look at how our coaches put in training sessions.I've said on threads about other players who aren't getting game time, that maybe they aren't doing enough in training to force their way in. So I guess the same could be said for Bobb.
The danger with just judging based on training though, is that players are maybe used to playing against each at training and being good at that doesn't guarantee being good against other teams.
I think there’s quite a few now that we’ve regretted letting go or made mistakes with. Especially thinking about the long termDisappointed to agree with this. I think he'll end up going and he'll be one we regret losing.

I think it’s all to do with experience, pep in general doesn’t trust younger players in my opinion.
We shouldn’t expect academy players to better than first team players instantly. They need time to develop. Playing every other month, how do they do that? There are some players in the squad who are totally established. Players from the Academy kind of have to do better than them to convince they're worth a run in the side. And that isn't better than them once, it's better than them repeatedly. No bad days, no can't be bothered days.
Oscar might well be doing okay, but that isn't enough.
I don't think there's a single one.I think there’s quite a few now that we’ve regretted letting go or made mistakes with. Especially thinking about the long term
And then claimed that Savinho had taken all of his game time.Of course I didnt miss it hence why I posted "when he was out".
Palmer or Alvarez? I personally think we should have done more to keep them and they are better than the players we brought in.I don't think there's a single one.
Both wanted to go so there's no mistake there unless you think we should have made them top earners? Not that that would have changed where Alvarez played or gave more game time to Palmer. This BTW is the Palmer who did well upto and including game 21 but then scored a solitary goal and just 3 assists from games 22 to 38 when the going got tough. Only 1 game missed in that period.Palmer or Alvarez? I personally think we should have done more to keep them and they are better than the players we brought in.
Unless you think our transfer record is perfect?
Since he came back from injury.good griefAnd then claimed that Savinho had taken all of his game time.
This is something that I've been thinking too, particularly in relation to our older players who might look very good in training because they're play at a less intense level, and know each other and the gameplay inside out, but when you put them in a PL match with higher levels of intensity and athleticism, they often don't maintain a good level for the time they are on the pitch. It would be good to see more emphasis on tapering in the new and tapering out the old. It doesn't have to be a 'jump off the cliff' scenario. Right now we have invested in a lot of new players and frustratingly it doesn't appear that they're being given sufficient chances to develop into the team and there doesn't seem to be a noticeable improvement in our play. More worryingly, teams continue to cut us apart with ease, especially in the latter stages of games when we're tired.I've said on threads about other players who aren't getting game time, that maybe they aren't doing enough in training to force their way in. We were talking about letting youth players go, so your last sentence is just whataboutery.
Obviously not tuned in to the CWC Final.I don't think there's a single one.
But had he stayed he would have been shackled like Grealish we would not see this version of Cole.Obviously not tuned in to the CWC Final.
Palmer looks world class tonight !
Those 3 left 6 years, 3 years & 2 years ago so I can't see the relevance to someone we bought just 5 months back?We got approx £60 million for Palmer, Frimpong and Lavia (all in positions we are short in)…..we spent that money on Gonzalez alone.
Pep might not regret letting some of the younger players go……but there’s many that would disagree !
What encouragement does it give young players if they do not get a fair chance.
Bobb and O’Reilly (and Echeverri) need to be given a chance this season.
