The break after the CWC for Chelsea is quite long. I don't think the CWC will have a significant fundamental impact, Chelsea resume trainings pretty much like we do?
Anyway, Chelsea gonna be better, they have a warehouse of players, but the spine of the team remains relatively consistent (Colwill, Cucurella, James, Caicedo/Enzo/Lavia, Palmer). Over time, those who develop will stay, and those who don’t will be dropped (Sterling, Madueke, Jackson). Unfortunately, this model is almost certain to succeed, so if not this season, then next season Chelsea will be a real problem.
Hard to see any other top4 than City, LFC, Arsenal, Chelsea (no particular order).
So its a bit crazy, because you still have very strong teams like Aston Villa, Newcastle and potentially very strong like Tottenham or Man Utd who are destined to be out of UCL? Crazy how strong and competitive the league gonna be.
On paper, the Premier League has eight teams (!) with the potential to compete at a very top level (as showed last season for instance Aston Villa against PSG).
