It's Quiet the £250m return

Heres a positive Cherki and Haaland already showing a relationship on the pitch within a couple of games Cherki already knows Haalands movement they are developing chemistry. Doesn't matter who Liverpool or Arsenal sign. If Cherki and Haaland develope chemistry together. Your looking at records being broken again.
Think there was an understanding between Cherki and Foden too which will benefit them both especially Foden.

That’s not the issue being discussed - the question is whether or not he has favourites, which he clearly does.

I’m surprised somebody as clever as yourself would make a mistake like that.

You couldn't understand the implication of the claim he has favourites, which I addressed in the post you replied to earlier, and I'm not surprised about that. Cheers.

That’s disappointing to hear, world class club and with 4 weeks to the start of a new season and still undecided who’s going sound rather pathetic. Not having a go just saying how it is

I've mentioned before that there will be tons of rumours for a few weeks. I expect most of our guys are on their holidays for another 2 weeks yet, so it might only be after that when we really see movement.

I know other transfers are happening around other clubs, but us and Chelsea are in a slightly different boat due to the CWC. Players need a break now, transfers will happen at some point.

Again, that’s not the issue being discussed - people can agree upon the problem, but opt for different solutions, and having favourites in the team can lead to a bias in how the problem is addressed. So I’m afraid that you’re quite wrong to conflate the two issues.

Perhaps you’re just not as clever as you think you are. But that often tends to be the case with kiss-arses.

"Favourites" is a slightly disrespectful way of describing it (imo). It suggests they aren't being picked on merit and they don't deserve to play.

Pep will be picking them because he feels they are the best choices for that match. That doesn't make them "favourites" necessarily - it just means he has a different opinion to you about the best team. Now, if we all had the full amount of info that Pep has - the analytics, the access to training performances, the physical info from the Medical dept - then we might go with the same team he does. We might not, but I think the players being picked and the manager picking them, deserve a bit more respect.

Based on nothing but imagination.

Well it wasn’t after I posted after the Bournemouth game if you want to look back mate? Peps outburst about leaving if the club made him have a certain squad didn not go down well at all and is press conference before the Fulham game he said he was joking as khaldoon had stepped in and that is fact! I don’t say too much about my family life/job etc after advice many years ago not to see it on here but when we come from the Isle of Man for games at least 4 of us are in the chairman’s lounge and once the drinks start flowing the directors talk etc. Pep was not happy with Viana wanting to get rid of some of his trusted players this summer and it was a topic of heated debate about the team selections at times at the end of last season as Txiki and Pep are so close he didn’t have to communicate too much as his word was gospel. Viana has no emotional connection to these players and as I posted was shocked at the state of things, the main one being the derby against the rags at Old Trafford where the game was just a fucking mess as was the formation and team selection. Once the beer starts flowing, loose lips etc happen and there is still some conflict between Pep and Viana but the incomings Pep is happy with but wants to keep his guys hence making Bernardo the main captain. Believe it not and unfortunately I don’t know how to go back to dates on posts on here but my brother was talking to Soriano and I posted straight after the Bournemouth game that there was problems between Hugo and Pep and it was a huge talking point in the boardroom.

It’s disrespectful to the supporters who have to watch the inferior players (at this point in their career) over the younger lads. Sure, point to the possible back end data. Or you can point to the results of when they play versus when they don’t.

Well that's just simple bullshit. Sorry.

We had an excellent run since January. Before then we had a ton of injuries. Want your new toys by all means, but the manager and the 'inferior' players owe you fuck all.

Or you could try being patient and letting the players get to know the system and each other, but that's probably too sensible...

That’s fair bud, but we know Stones and Ake are injury prone and Gundo is past it. CWC has no bearing on that and the planning should have been in the works well before that

Yeah, tbh I'm hoping that it is too and that a few things happen as soon as they report back. Would be surprised if it does before then, but not impossible obviously.

If the above is correct, somebody very high up in the hierarchy has to get to grips with the problem pronto.

And imo Soriano should not have been discussing the issue with supporters - a very poor decision imo.

Especially as you are repeating the story on here in order to prove your assertions perhaps ?

This is a multi-million business in which conflicts over player signings can have serious financial implications not forgetting the harmony with the structure.

Well this doesn't sound too good. Did they say who his trusted players were that Viana wanted out? I'm guessing Bernardo and Gundogan?
