PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It’s all so dodgy, UEFA banned us from the CL for two years for two alleged 15m payments they weren’t happy with. Like me dropping a pound down the back of the sofa. On appeal CAS stated thirteen times zero evidence of wrongdoing yet we got a big fine for non-cooperation
Yes, it's strange isn't it. CAS found that City had cooperated with the court but that UEFA still had not one shred of evidence to back up ANY of the charges! And yet UEFA faced no fine for wasting the court's time.

But CAS did say that UEFA were justified in their investigation based on the material that Der Spiegel published.

Of course. I forgot: CAS thought the Der Spiegel "revelations" justified OPENING the investigation. I also remember you, PB, posting that City Matters had been shown the UEFA "evidence", which amounted to copies of 6 DS emails, and dissolving into fits of laughter. I wonder why CAS didn't find this lack of any evidence a compelling argument in favour of CLOSING the investigation! Now, I don't doubt the PL have many more DS emails ... which PROVE nothing, but I know that many on here cannot imagine what evidence, IF ANY, has come to light now that wasn't available the first time around.

Just as a conclusion I will say that there are many (well, a few!) on here who's opinions I respect and I draw comfort from the cynicism with which they view the PL's charges (what we assume them to be) and so I look forward to the award with confidence, but all this discussion of non-cooperation, points deductions and sanctions at all strikes me as pessimistic. Remember the soft signals!

For a teacher ,I take it Geography was not one of your stronger subjects.
No wonder you struggled to find your way home.
Fallowfield not Withington.
By the time tache man’s minibus has dropped us back from the Eitihad I’m lucky I can find my way to the minibus door. (I fell asleep after the Bournemouth game, everyone, including the driver had fucked of and left me in the minibus. In Fallowfield. Had to bump open the emergency door.) you wouldn’t have left me.

Not sure that makes much sense. I prefer to rely on the judgement of actual lawyers and previous cases.

But I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a small points deduction (on one of the minor issues like the Touré payments, for example) and a fine on non-compliance.

Not sure the process is that far, though. Is anyone really sure of anything?

am really just asking that is there a rule in PSR that if a club continually don’t corporate is there a point deduction option in the rules?! Just like I’ve said I swear 1/2 years ago I heard that that was coming into the rules!

There is no way there will be any points deduction for non-cooperation imo. A fine for sure, and possibly a huge one, but can’t see a sporting penalty for something which cannot be said to have given us a sporting advantage unless the particular circumstances are especially egregious.
Worse than chopping a tree down?
