It's just another of the bullshit claims which surround this over-hyped club.

Anything which puts their name out and up front is the process which their PR team have very successfully used better than most other clubs, but it is flawed when the quality of the team/squad is examined. Hype over content.

But bullshit sells the brand and our media whores lap it up no doubt due to being paid for their services to a failing organisation.

Let's see when they win their next PL title.
To coin a phrase about United winning titles I would say:”Not in my lifetime.” Sadly that is likely to be true for me and some others on this board!

Audio tests have proven its the loudest ground in England.

If it's wrong, who do so many managers like Pep say it's the hardest ground in the league to go to because of the crowd and atmosphere. All managers and players and ex players say it. Are they all wrong then?

The kop is clearly a terrifying force of nature when it gets bouncing. We've seen City teams play within themselves because of it.
Your comments are just absurd.

dont waste your breath mate, i have tried till im blue in the face to get that message through to him but he just quotes throw away media quotes from pep saying its tough to play at anfield as evidence.
Pep says that about any away game anywhere.
To take a generic used everywhere soundbite as some sort of validation to the incorrect notion of Anfield being any different to any other stadium for it's general atmosphere...is:

The commentator soundbites of "a magical night at Anfield, under the lights", "the kop sucking the ball in", "most knowledgeable fans" (!), "YAWN"'s lack of relevance to anyone other than liverpool fans (imagine if the commentator's were to be silent during "bluemoon") are just pure bollox, pining for the days of the 70's/80's liverpool heydays when (all stadium) crowds were noisy.

Anfield is noisy when:
pre-kickoff YAWN
Against City/utd/Everton
Few mins during and after scoring a goal
...other than that, its a morgue, with away fans making more noise than the massed ranks of Irish/Scandinavians - ie the same as any other PL club.

Edit: Real Madrid/spanish newspapers said the Etihad was the most intimidating atmosphere they've ever played at...how odd?!?

Think you're supporting the wrong club then, what with all the admiration you have for the Dips.

Pep only visits these stadia for the biggest matches when they are at their noisiest. I would suggest that regular away fans know better. I have an LFC season ticket holder pal who says the atmosphere at Anfield these days is shite. He goes to every game and has done since the 70s.
Every season we're there, we're singing 'where's your famous atmosphere'
CR has probably never been.

You're WUMming mate. Give it a rest

Observation, not admiration'
No, it's pure admiration you have, arguing so hard for it. "The kop is a terrifying force of nature when it gets bouncing"? Pfft...

Anfield is a 'hard' ground to win at because of the intimidation of referees by Dippers players which goes unpunished with VAR now having massively corrupted important decisions during matches, and the behaviour of their supporters acting like thuggish cunts.

We've lost two of the last 5 games at Anfield, they've lost 2 of the last 5 games at the Etihad. Most games end in a draw. Hardly a fortress of noise. The swamp was once considered impenetrable, now clubs like Brentford look forward to playing there to get a vital three points for their campaign. "Stadium intimidation" is bullshit and meaningless to comment on. The acoustics of a building might sound good and frightening on a TV, but it affects next to nothing to the outcome.

One reason is why uefa won't use the ground.
Pitch is too small and too close to the fans.
Could you post the test results.

Then Pep is absurd because he's said it
He's being diplomatic with the press when asked a stupid question by a wumming sports reporter looking for a juicy soundbite.

You're posting anonymously on a football forum.

1) JOINT loudest with Everton (BUT is it the loudest on one singular occasion or the loudest average crowd noise? The difference between those two possible stats is of importance)

2) Pep's employing diplomacy, he rarely tells the press what he actually thinks these days.
Remember when he first arrived and said that the press and media on this island are all liverpool fans and got called all sorts of shit as a result? He's learned better and is simply just playing to the crowd with his comments.

3) It's an (almost;) universally accepted fact that it's a hard ground to go to because of the refs being cowards who give the home team pretty much every decision they ask for; but managers can't come out and say that, can they? ;)

It seems as though you are buying into the myth that the dippers are some kind magical football team dreamed up by CS Lewis or something. They are a famous football team, so are we, and Arsenal, Chelsea etc. But that's it.
Each top club in the Prem can have an intimidating atmosphere for away fans, not always, but for some reason every now and again, the stars align and you get something very special happening within the stadium: I don't think anybody can say what it is or how it exists, but it's there and it's tangible, and for away fans it can be a frightening experience.
It is not just Anfield where it happens, despite the media telling you it is, I've seen it happen at non-league venues many times over the years: it's inexplicable but it's also quite an experience.

You come across as someone who wants feet in both camps: good luck with that. But you're coming on a City forum and seeming to lavishly praise everything the dippers do - reign it in or you'll be unceremoniously dumped on your dipper-loving arse quicker than you can say 'king Kenny.'

Just a thought, this is the thread dedicated to the scumbag trafford tramps.
SCUM.
Seems that those cheeky (thieving, murderous grief monkeys) chappies from the wrong end of the East Lancs have jibbed in.

Anyhow.

WTFAMu.
The Pope knows.
SCUM.

CTID.

As you were you lovely Blues.

As MARCA (Spanish Sports paper) reported in 2023 on the Etihad Atmosphere:

“The atmosphere was possibly the harshest Real Madrid encountered in many years. A complete trap.”

And liverpool had only played them at Anfield (and lost) the year before. This atmosphere bollocks is a complete myth carried over from the 70s.

Audio Test story is obviously another news story to pander to the Liverpool masses. I have been to Anfield about a dozen times and its never impressed me with the atmosphere. YNWA at the start and finish and in between is like a morgue most of the time

its only fucking tough cos the pitch is the wrong size.
Fuckers have redeveloped all four stands and they are still allowed to have a small pitch
cheating self entitled fuckers

It’s a sight to behold when the dippers play the rags and the fans throw piss and shit at each other.
