Has anyone ever seen him make a save you wouldn't expect him to?

He's obviously a massive improvement on Ederson in terms of facing penalties. Other than that, I have no idea why we want him.

Out of interest then, why are Newcastle interested in him? The rumoured £35mill is a lot for a back up goalie especially given they need to balance their books for PSR.

Ive seen Ederson do that but people still want him out.

I honestly don't know either way whether the club would be or are interested, him being CT is certainly an advantage for us although less so, the more other youth players are coming through.

I've just seen something about Pope going to Leeds so I guess they'd be looking for him as 1st choice.
 
Only really seen Costa play a few times and each he was pretty bad aside!

Be interesting to see how he gets on at city (I’m sure he will be the target)

I just hope if these deals are indeed happening they are quick and the new goalkeeper is in for when we come back to training.
 
I'm gonna miss Edersons assists (if we really sell him). Can't replace that particular skill.
Can't claim that I've ever watched Costa play. Hope he knows how to save a ball.

I'm 100% behind you on penalties. They should make Ederson stand still (yes, dont dive) for a penalty, he would save more.
But, these people wishing him gone, will be disappointed with the overall level of a replacement. Eddy gets my vote, even thou his nonchalance seems to wind people up nowadays. Let's get The Pickford Panicker for a comparison.
 
Ederson is still the best keeper for the way Pep wants to play. Anyone wanting Costa in to replace him mustn't have seen much off him. I would say Ederson is a bet shot stopper.
If we do need a new keeper I would go for Gregor Kobel
