Cheating in a relationship

It’s the partners who have the most to process and who are most entitled to feel aggrieved.

Imagine having to process betrayal like that, against that backdrop. Having to absorb the world talking about your husband or wife’s cheating, and finding great humour in it.

Your world blown apart in an instant. Publicly.

You’re not getting over that. Both those relationships are fucked.

Reckon they’d have got away with it if they hadn’t reacted?
Unlikely, but possible.

And it definitely wouldn’t have been part of a thread on Bluemoon right now if they hadn’t. So even though it might have got back to their partners, and ended their marriages, it wouldn’t be all over the planet. And surely that amounts to ‘getting away with it’, even if it means the end of your marriage. Which was probably fucked anyway.

His position as CEO is completely untenable. He’ll be gone within a week.

The fickle finger of fate bows to no person, rich or poor. We’re all basically playing this game of roulette, and it sometimes throws up a big surprise.

Nuts how little control we actually have over our lives.

Societies cannot survive a sexual free-for-all. Fidelity in relationships is critical or you have social anarchy. As for the "what happens on tour stays on tour" logic, you should not be allowed to jettison basic morality because you are on holiday.

Ge and she had total control. Both married, and so the key is don’t cheat on your partner. Thats the control.

(I do know what you’re saying, however)

the reasons/justification/causes for it are myriad, from the ridiculous to the compelling, and it hurts like fuck for both parties... but depending on the circumstances, it can be salvageable/survivable and relationships can get back to where they were before and indeed even push on from the previous strong point

Yep, that’s why I don’t like the constant viral world we live in - fair enough to get exposed but to have it constantly everywhere is a bit much and will take lives.

I could never get over my partner cheating. My head would explode because what we do together under the sheets I’d never be able to stop wondering if she did that with him.
