Don't want to de-rail the thread, but the rumour when he joined us was that he'd only done so because Atleti wouldn't sell direct to Real, so he was using us as a jump point.

Rumour, wishful thinking, whatever, it was never going to happen. Real’s squad was packed with Galatico’s at the time, they didn’t show much interest in signing Sergio. They had Ronaldo, Benzema, Morata as striking options plus Kaka playing the attacking midfielder role, Sergio was never a priority and we didn’t sign him as a stop gap.

What has me posting and being disappointed with team line ups got to do with anything. I will continue to have my opinion on line ups. Just like every other fan.

What about when the majority of our fans and media thought we was getting Kane. And I was told Grealish got the 10 shirt. I don’t recall that being in the media at the time I posted that either. And I was told no chance at the time, Kane will be the 10.

If we accept only £3m for Ederson it’s absolutely taking the piss. He’s our first choice keeper, fundamental to Pep’s playing style and proven with the multiple trophies he’s won.

Look at some of the prices for bang average players (Mbeumo £65m) and even downright shit ones (Longstaff £12m). Eddie should be at least £30m!

I don’t get why we’re happy being bent over when selling players but if a selling club dares ask us for about £5m more we walk away! So frustrating.
