PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

City also aggregated Leipzig, Bayern, Madrid and Inter Milan 17-3 in the knockouts of the champions league. Real and Bayern being too of the most difficult opponents in the champions league at the time. They turned up for 2 minutes of the champions league final in 99.

The treble also included the fastest ever goal in an Fa cup final. City also dragged back a very decent Arsenal team to win the league as well when they were walking away with it in January.
Absolutely.

United won a total of 4 games to reach the final, 2 of which was against Brondby. They beat inter and juventus who both finished mid table that season.

Spot on,he also apparently hacked some heavy hitters who are now wanting revenge hence isn’t he in like witness protection or similar..
The Pinto extortion case involved an agency which does a lot of deals with Benfica and Sporting which originates in Kazakhstan and has alleged links to organised crime. The trial had nothing to do with City. Pinto hacked hundreds of millions of documents and a handful related to City. Der Spiegl focused heavily on City for reasons which aren’t clear though there has been speculation that Bayern may have been involved.

Did Pinto go to City first and demand money for the hacks never seeing the light of day, or did he start offering them to publications to see who the highest bidder would be?
I seem recall that after the revelations about City, Bild stated that it wasn't just City, it's other English clubs and just wait until next week when we will be revealing what we found about other top clubs, I am obviously paraphrasing. I'm still waiting, is it five years now, not a dicky bird about any other Premier League club.

Our treble was much more dominant, you could argue the excitement behind Uniteds. Last game of the season for the league and went behind. The CL final going how it went, the Juventus comeback, the arsenal fa cup semi. Ours was a footballing masterclass and sheer dominance in every competition. Our treble side would wipe the floor with theirs from a footballing point of view but they could argue the excitement side of things

It was fucking pathetic that the experts were comparing our teams playing each other & gave the Rags a compelling victory with both teams playing a 442.
Not 1 expert tried to argue our set up was far superior or that Neville may struggling pushing into midfield the thick fuckers.

Last year I discussed with a Red chum the relative merits of our Treble squad with The Red Filth's 1998-9 version.

Obviously, there is always the matter of subjectivity when comparing players/squads/achievements across different eras.. and of course, there is the small matter of tribalism that affects all of us when making such comparisons!

However, my pal did concede that we had ('probably'!) the better, stronger squad in 2022-3 compared to that lot's group of players in 1998-9.

I think the killer argument though came when we looked at actual statistics*. Of all the metrics you can measure the two squads' respective achievements against in those Treble seasons, across all competitions (matches played/won/lost, goals scored/against, points achieved etc), the fact is that they only matched us on two criteria:

* remaining undefeated throughout the CL
* playing three additional League Cup games

Regarding every other measurable metric, City 2022-3 was far superior to The Red Filth 1998-9.. absolutely NO doubt.. and as I said at the conclusion of our discussion (channelling my Inner Eric Morecambe to 'Andrew Preview'), 'You had a good team in 1999, I'll give you that sunshine.. but no way near as good as what we've just witnessed from Pep and his boys!'

(* Here are the stats for each season btw, City first number:
PL wins 28-22, PL goals scored 94-80, PL goals conceded 33-37, PL points 89-79
CL undefeated season for both teams, CL goals scored 32-29, CL goals conceded 5-16
FAC goals scored 19-12, FAC goals conceded 1-3
LC games played 3, both knocked out at same stage)

Lets not forget that there was a World Cup in fucking Qatar halfway through our treble season.

not even up for debate, all last year's PL teams, err down to the current utd team, would easily beat that utd team - top teams would put double figures past them

Also, Arse miss a penalty in the FA Cup Semi, red shite beat a Juventus side that had won 2 games getting the Semi Final of CL. No comparison to how we did the Continental Treble.

As well as ten points more we also scored 94 goals to ushited 80 and let 3 less in. Better in every way.

Still gutted about conceding in the FACup.
Another 'gift' for the rags to try and stop us
