You won’t get many with moaning like that.
Look at our activity since the treble. resting on our laurels and letting others catch up and pass us out. letting Gundo go only to resign him a year later, Not moving on walker stones and others. signing Doku Nunes for big money with neither nowhere near good enough for us. Stumbling over the line in the title race the squad was at its end. then deciding yano what we dont need anything lets go again. just add in a young brazilian new to the league. Then we have our disaster 6 months, our erratic Janurary panic window with only Marmoush good enough. Then move onto our shit CWC ,and Now weve ended up with an extra large squad with no one knowing where they stand. I say it exactly as i see it I dont post for likes
Everyone that needs to know exactly where they stand and if you actually looked at the developing squad you'd see a young, energeic squad coming together, with new coaches, but you'd rather just make snide comments about those at the club not being arsed about winning things anymore.Look at our activity since the treble. resting on our laurels and letting others catch up and pass us out. letting Gundo go only to resign him a year later, Not moving on walker stones and others. signing Doku Nunes for big money with neither nowhere near good enough for us. Of course he can play twice a week but he's slow. Not very good if you want to beat the left back.I think Salah can easily play twice a week , he is in exceptional physical condition and not many in world football are close to him. He takes care of himself like Ronaldo or Lewandowski and they are still playing on a very high level albeit being much older.
About who’s got a future here and who doesn’t presumably.About what?
They never existed?Whatever happened the links with Cambiasso of Juve?
Hilarious. Not many of us post for likes but we try to be sensible & put things into perspective. He's a clown, just one of many who seem to revel in the negative on here, maybe it's just a reflection of their lives.Hilarious. Not many of us post for likes but we try to be sensible & put things into perspective. You on the other hand seem to just look at the negatives
Guess we should just agree to disagree because I’ll never see eye to eye with you. Not sure what others think about your post but as you’re not posting for likes it doesn’t matter :-) :-)
I’m pretty confident that this conversation has been had over a million times. ESP during that 1 win in 14. There’s honestly no need to repeat this. The club still has the best environment and resources to go back our best. Just look at how quickly and efficiently they moved in Jan and before the CWC. They’ve definitely earned my trust back. We can’t fix every issue in one summer unfortunately. We were great. Then we lost our way. We’re on our way back to the top. I’m excited for the journey and you should too. What other clubs do is their business.Look at our activity since the treble. resting on our laurels and letting others catch up and pass us out. letting Gundo go only to resign him a year later, Not moving on walker stones and others. signing Doku Nunes for big money with neither nowhere near good enough for us. i think we could have a much better season ,but only if Pep changes a few things ,certainly defensively, also a big improvement is needed from our wingers.I’m pretty confident that this conversation has been had over a million times. Some of them have head half empty thinkingAm surprised we finish 3rd after reading that!
I get it some fans think this way as in Glass half empty thinking!

Agree with you on the first two windows.Look at our activity since the treble. resting on our laurels and letting others catch up and pass us out. letting Gundo go only to resign him a year later, Not moving on walker stones and others. signing Doku Nunes for big money with neither nowhere near good enough for us. Think we should use our own academy players as project and bring in more quality players.Agree with you on the first two windows.
I think the club thought they could squeeze one more year out of that squad, but the Rodri injury changed everything. They had no plan if this happened, and could not adapt and the team kept getting overrun and out in midfield, all while KDB looked like a shell of himself, and Walker fell off a cliff.
They have seemingly changed the policy from buying "top 10 players in their position" to buying projects with high potential, and if you do that for 2 windows straight and not one of them has yet to take that leap, you have to go buy top-10 players in their position, because if three years of projects don't work, you can set yourself back 2-3 years in a re-tool/rebuild.
I don't agree with every point but I agree with most of that.Look at our activity since the treble. resting on our laurels and letting others catch up and pass us out. letting Gundo go only to resign him a year later, Not moving on walker stones and others. signing Doku Nunes for big money with neither nowhere near good enough for us. If you are going for projects, at least go for projects like Baleba from Brighton, Chevalier from Lille. Players who you know can compete and play at the PL/CL level.Agree with a lot of this.
It doesn't account for Rodri's injury but last season was a shitshow - topped off by pissing away the FA Cup final for the second consecutive year, losing both to teams we should have beaten with our eyes shut.
Since winning the treble in 2023 the squad has been in a self-managed decline. Unless this is arrested we will again be on the outside looking in when the major prizes are handed out.
Who's the no1 keeper? Nobody knows quite frankly and it looks like it's going to be a gamble on a 22 year old.
Who's the right back? Nunes is shit, Akanji is a centre half, Khusanov is a centre half, & Rico sadly ain't good enough.
The drop off from the likes of Sane, Sterling and Mahrez to Doku & Savinho has been a steep one.
We've a hell of a lot of questions going in to this season and being 3rd in the betting is about right. We may find Chelsea overtake us this season too - We'll see. But we are nowhere near the force we were.
We've needed some finished article additions and no more projects like Echeverri, Reis or Savinho. Time will tell if Reijnders, Cherki and Ait-Nouri for that bill - the lad from Wolves looks the most promising of what's arrived in terms of balancing the squad.
