The whole concept of the PL coming up with a sponsorship value is nonsense. Each situation is unique and subject to both businesses analysing what a contract is worth and freely negotiating the price.
Both Etihad and Puma have reported record sales after their sponsorship of City.
I expect City to be arguing this strongly in the upcoming action.

City have proved the point you make by continuing to invest by our owners without using success on the field as a type of cash cow.
When this happens the value of the business plan having the right men in the right place makes money for everyone including its sponsors.

I suppose the Pls valuation team are used to seeing their other teams owners removing money to other sectors they own or simply taking cash out.

In other words we have proved that City are unique and excellent value to a loyal sponsor so why judge us any other way?

Our treble was much more dominant, you could argue the excitement behind Uniteds. Last game of the season for the league and went behind. The CL final going how it went, the Juventus comeback, the arsenal fa cup semi. Ours was a footballing masterclass and sheer dominance in every competition. Our treble side would wipe the floor with theirs from a footballing point of view but they could argue the excitement side of things
