Man Utd transfer spending at -£137m net, and now they are after a striker. This is a club that reported £130m of pre-tax losses in 2023-24 season. No matter when you have the Premier League and the media in your back pocket.

They are going to be stronger next season given that only Liverpool have a higher net spend in pre-season.

Yet they've sacked hundreds of staff. Many of them I'm guessing, were on the minimum wage. But hey; "The World's Greatest Club"™, right?

Utd fans sound like 1960s Wolves fans.

Ten years on from them being the team of the decade, convinced the good times are only just around the corner again not realising they are staring into a 60 year abyss!
Football has always gone in cycles. Before Baconface their trophy haul was identical to City. The 90s were a glitch period. They could easily just revert to their pre Ferguson era.

The irony being that if they'd just said they were cutting staff to spend more in the summer, most of their fans would have been fine with it.

IIRC they have won 66 trophies and 51 came under Busby and Ferguson.

The other 100 years of their history they've been bang average really.

That's not actually a dig at them, it's just how their history is, two of the biggest booms in the history of football preceded and followed by decades of being unremarkable. Very different to Real, Bayern, Juve and the other clubs they liken themselves to who have rarely had lean spells like United.

The bit that makes them insufferable is not recognising that.

Guaranteed Rashford won’t be permanently signed by Barcelona next summer

And the rags are paying his salary whilst he is there. No way are Barca paying the wages of the over-hyped twat.

A media agreed smokescreen to make the rags appear less fucking useless than they really are.

The greatest bullshitters in the world.

Maybe not but I reckon he'll do alright over there. It's easier to score goals there, and that's not a myth, that's why the likes of Suarez and Ronaldo scored much more there as soon as they left the PL, amounts that aren't even realistic in the PL

Of course Rashy is not anywhere close to those players but the point stands

If they use him right, he'll get more room to shift with the ball and more chance to make runs in behind. Those are pretty much his only good attributes and he may get to use them more and mask the fact his general play is not great.

If they get time and space to play, then Yamal off the right and Rashy off the left will be a handful for any team in terms of pace and trickery.
