So they are selling the right to be able to transfer a season ticket by charging the scam victim 4 grand? The regulator should be all over this.

But they are more than likely in on the scam.

You have to be kidding right! Rashy! Just not right in any way shape or form on this forum. Rashford, fish fingers, big nose plus extras All perfectly acceptable names but never ever Rashy! Fuck me!
Mr Crooked Rain, is there something you'd like to tell us? You refer to any and all rag-associated people with a reverence bordering on admiration. It's just not cricket, old boy. Simply not on. Foul and uncouth words can only be used when talking about...well, when talking about the f**king verminous cu*ts from that vile sh*t pit they have the nerve to call a stadium.

This PSL thing is common place is US Sports, should 1 or 2 clubs introduce it in the PL, then it won't be long before City fans will have to fork it for it as well.
And it can stay over there, preferably buried in a concrete sarcophagus so it never leaves those shores. Buying a "Seat license" to allow you to buy a season ticket...
They're planning to use it to fund the stadium and you only get the right to to season tickets, not any potential other events there. Surely if they're using the money to fund the stadium you should get first pop at concert tickets, etc given you're stumping up the money to get the stadium built.
There's also the added kicker that if you don't buy a season ticket one season you lose your "Seat license" and they'll sell it for full value to someone else. Granted there's ways round it and still keep the license if you didn't want to buy a ST but still...

Even if they convinced 50,000 to part with £4k, that is still only 1/10th of the cost of a new £2Bn stadium.

Thing is - even if 50,000 fans coughed up that £4000, it only comes to £200 million which amounts to a fraction of the overall cost of building the new stadium.

They want 60 percent of the stadium as hospitality so they will probably flog long term packages for that. They will sell off the naming rights to bring some money in and the rest of the shortfall will be on the never, never through the overdraft. Trouble is their current debts are coming up to be refinanced, the whole cost of it doesn’t make sense on how they will do it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are still showing off fancy renders of what the stadium will look like in 2035.

But 200 million banked tax free in the Caymen Isles at 15% for 15 years is brilliant business for the Glazers.
The 4k is then returned to the fans with the excuse that the British govt are refusing to fork out the other 3.8 billion.
It's the yunitid way.

Starmer will pick upon the rest. Pension at 75, disability for a maximum of a year, tax thresholds frozen forever, no new hospitals, schools or meaningful infrastructure, save for the big top and perhaps some direct railway lines from the South East non-stop into Trafford...

Isn’t this just a debenture? Not that uncommon, I think the RFU and WRU do them for rugby and Wimbledon/Lords do them.

The WRU ones when they did the millennium stadium were £5k and you get allocated 2 tickets with great seats to every game for 20 years and then got your £5k back. You still buy the tickets for each game but can sell them (usually for a steep profit) if you don’t want to go.
