Tino Livramento

Id rather we didn't end up signing our targets than act like the teams that play in red and unsettle players the way they do. Proper cunts trick
Its not nice is it, but Im not sure Riyad Mahrez and Matthias Nunes behaved like model pupils when we were sniffing to be fair...and I think Harry Kanes prolonged summer holiday at Spuds had a bit to do with a few 061 numbers in his phones recent call list.

Im the last one to stick up for red mafia, but sadly this is done by all teams including us and is a sad state of affairs.

Although it does make me laugh that they kicked up a fuss about Trent Alexander Arnold for contractually doing nowt wrong, but their fans seem to have no problem basically forcing Isak on strike (more or less) whilst under contract to force a move to their Waco type sect.

It all depends on the players personality and relation ship with the club anyway, some players are happy to behave like that some aren't. Could just be Livramento isn't for all we know.

Couldn’t disagree more.

I just want us to win everything, whatever that costs and whatever the dickheads in the media say, especially at the expense of those Scouse cunts.

I'd rather we went back to Division 2 than become the reds. Just my personal opinion, but I'll support the club whether we win or lose.

Sometimes it’s the only way.

There aren’t many full backs who are home grown, young but with experience and genuine quality already which would set us up for the next 10 years.

If there were loads, we could just move onto other targets but when there’s not, the nice approach not working might then push us into the cunts approach. Though it won’t happen because that’s not how we negotiate and who knows, it might build good relations with Newcastle for future deals.

No denying it’s a shit tactic but sometimes it’s the only tactic to get a player you want.

Why do we need our fullback to be homegrown? He costs a fortune. I don't see why you'd ever spend the money quoted on Livramento for a full back. It's an area we need to improve, but we've won so much without specialist full backs I don't know why we'd suddenly go and throw extortionate money at the position.

I was reading Craig Hope's piece last night (he's the Geordie news guy) and apparently it was Amanda Staveley who told him he'd get an improved contract but when she left, the new DoF (Paul Mitchell) came in and essentially told him to get fucked because he was already one of the top earners with 4 years left on his deal during a time they're trying to comply with PSR and strengthen team.

And Isak has seen his arse because of it. Double-edged sword, Newcastle probably need to decide whether Isak is going to stay for 10+ years and make him their highest earner and stalwart of the side or if they'll pay him more for a year and he'll do one anyway.
yeah read something similar howe had to smooth things over at the start of the season

We should be chirping in his agents ear now, poor summer for Newcastle, even the most optimistic players there could have their heads turned.

Newcastle though could end up coming out alright if they get Sesko and still have £70-100m left to spend? Already got Elanga as well?

That's not true at all. A player could be completely fine at a club and then they're contacted indirectly by another club who then influence their decision. We've seen it a million times
I think we define 'unsettling' differently. I just don't but the lack of agency argument.

As a rule i think players want to achieve more and make more money. If an opportunity to do that cones, they jump at it. I don't consider that being unsettled. I consider it a show of ambition.

One that comes from the player. Granted, there has to be an external club who wants him, sure. But the ambition was always his.

Benjamin Mendy (£52 mill) & Kyle Walker (£50 mill) say hi!

As an aside, Benjamin Mendy has just been tossed out of his 2nd club since leaving us for partying (Lorient and FC Zurich). Who'd have guessed it?

You’d think that Livramento would be questioning whether or not to hang around Newcastle with the potential lose of Isak and lack of new signings. Maybe now is the time to test the water again.

If Isak goes which is likely but depends on how much they get Liverpool to pay they’ll go for another top player. Sesko already linked which is a player with bags of potential and a deal Arsenal couldn’t get done.

It’s shit for them but a good replacement.

I'm surprised anyone gives a flying about how we act or behave, do you think it will change other teams supporters opinion or perception of us? collectively with reference to 115, they have all been so fair and balanced when judging us, have they not?

It depends on how much he trusts the club. He can take the surface level position of wtf is going on and consider leaving or he can wait and see what they do with the 130-150 mil they get for Isak. Me. I'd sell Isak for 150 mil in a heartbeat. People never learn. He is nowhere remotely near that amount. A very small few are. That said, I would check in with the player to see where his head is...

I didn't say it would change their opinion?
