The amusing thing with that rancid shit stain of a football club is that they don’t have self awareness of how shit they are. All they have known in the early days of being rags is success and since the sky fell in on them over 12 years ago the media convinces their fans they are still relevant with powder puff pieces about the glory days not being far off again.

As for their hopes of top four this year, no club that has finished 15th one season has ever secured Champions league football by finishing in the top four the season after in the Premier League era. Amorim is going to have to perform a footballing miracle for that to happen.
 
Last weekend my wife's cousin came up to Co Durham from Portsmouth. He has lived there all his life and is a lifelong rag supporter. He had been to see Oasis and said he couldn't understand why it seemed to be a City lovefest and refused to do the Poznan.
However, when we were out for lunch I asked him why they are expecting the taxpayers to pay for their new big top. He came out with some nonsense about it revitalising the area and bringing 180k jobs to the area.
When I pointed out the flaws in this argument he wouldn't have it. He even suggested later, that the stories about the state of the leaks at the stadium, rats infestation and poor food hygiene was fake news because "everyone hates us".

They will never be irrelevant to me. Whilst I understand the meaning of your post, if they are irrelevant, beating the raggy fuckers would mean nothing.
Watching them suffer at the bottom of the table is a joy. Knowing that if they improve this season and get 10th, they will have spent 150 million (and counting) to rise 6 places.
If they are irrelevant to us how can we laugh at them ? I don't laugh at other lower mid table teams but I reserve the right to guffaw, chortle, snigger and laugh very loudly at the scummy wankers.

Yep. Those photos of the gargantuan cascade of water from the damaged roof is clearly a fake: photo shop stuff. And as for everybody hating them, in all fairness have you ever come across a tabloid article praising the rags? No, me neither. Slimey Stone and his ilk clearly despise all things rag and absolutely adore us.

So you see, it's us that have been getting things wrong for so long. We ought to thank your wife's cousin for opening up our eyes for us.

I think it would be better to completely ignore this guy, family or not, for the foreseeable anyway.

Good thing is he lives a long way away from you, so that's a plus in many respects as well.

But he his right about one thing mind, we do hate them

FC United aren’t irrelevant to me. We’ve never played them and maybe never will, but I despise them… never mind Trafford United.

I could only manager 5 minutes but that Mackola guy is an absolute weapon. He thinks he's intelligent. Thick as fuck and as a bitter as they come.
