PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Its just a thought, only a thought.

Could it be reasonable that the verdict is out but the PL or City have put a Super injunction on it to suppress it to a later day. The verdict was indicated it could be march but hasnt happened or has it.

The press may know the verdict but cant say. it would certainly explain their change of tact if city had won.

it could explain our spending and the puma contracts etc...

Knowing that masters and the PL are F**ked the rest could ignore PSR and spend big.

The government would know the outcome and want to push ahead with a regulator.

I could be that certain posters ITK on here were right about some decision dates.

As Dido would say "its just a thought, Only a thought."

there would of been some form of leak from the media, wouldn't need to be the UK Media to leak it either!

It seems to me rather unlikely that a super injunction would be granted in such a matter but I wonder whether government influence is at work. It might be yet another wild theory which our near total ignorance of proceedings gives rise to, but if City have won, and won clearly, the whole structure and personnel of the PL are very much on borrowed time. And all this at a time when City's questioning of the PL's APT rules has consigned whole areas of the PL's financial regulations to the bin and raised serious problems for regulation in the future. I think the whole area the conformity of FFP and PSR to competition law is massively problematic: can a limit on owner investment really be a valid sporting exception while no measures are taken to control debt? And there are others. And all this at a time when the final steps to introduce a football regulator have been taken. At the very least, those involved in regulating the PL will need to have drawn up plans which regulate a football landscape affected massively by the outcome of the PL's dealings with our club. The government/regulators may want some preparation time before the outcome of the case(s) burst on the football world.

The single fact that the scousers are spending money like no tomorrow is a huge indication for me that the rules are in the bin.
Liverpool have gone from being skint to winning the lottery.
Something very odd.

I remember an article showing inflation rates in transfer fees.

was just after city had been spending a little money.

Guess who was at the top then? the dippers.

But this does seem very strange where they have gotten money from but they've spent over 600 million since 22/23 seasns

Yes but many of us overseas knew about him before you in the uk as the superinjunction doesn't generally apply worldwide.
On this occasion we have heard no more than you so I suspect that it isn't the case
That’s not correct, as soon as the super injunction was made everyone knew it was family guy, the story was rife, it was only the Media that couldn’t report it, was common knowledge well before the actual story broke.

This is what i was thinking, something definitely odd about this spending.
Not really for Dipperpool they have an ageing squad, have just won the league got a large insurance payout so need to spend if they are to kick on. Don't forget Salah, VVD and Alisson will need replacing soon aswell.

But what about wages?
Salah and VVD will have had massive improvements and then there's Weiss and his figures scared us off.
Isac apparently wants 300k a week as well.
Marry this up with British transfer records being broken probably twice by them in the same window, then it's some pot of gold they've unearthed

As ever, thought provoking and totally feasible assumptions there.

Wasnt there a case in court as part of this process where both City and the PL tried to keep the case private and out of the redtops, but they lost. So, in which case, a super injunction is impossible to see.

My thoughts exactly. Same for gunners & to some degree the rags (if they could get top players to join their shitshow!)All spending what they want suddenly. Makes you think they know the rules are finished!!
