Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

Do you reckon Newcastle struggle with getting players to play for them in the market that they are shopping in because of their manager?

He’s won a cup and got them CL football. They’re about where they should be.

Listening to O’Hara the other night and I agree with him it’s more to do with the location. The top drawer players will be more attracted to Manchester and London. That said though all it takes is for them to bag one and the rest could follow. Sesko could be that player.

Newcastle not being able to keep their top player will put question marks in any future star players minds.
Would be funny if they just said, fuck it, you're under contract and staying but how many clubs actually do that.
The player usually gets his own way
It won't happen, there is too much player power these days.

There is something very shady going on with this saga.
Fucking right there is, the timing.
just as all the possible suitors sort their striker options out he suddenly becomes available leaving isak nowhere to go other than the ferals who would know apart from them nobody could afford him. Wouldn’t surprise if the scousers and isaks agent have manufactured this situation plus the cunts signed Newcastle’s preferred replacement aswell so they couldn’t strengthen.

Great player. Think he’d really suit or system. He’s a better footballer than big erl. Shame we can’t find away to fit them both in. Miss the days we had aguero tevez dzeko frightening attack that

Far from fucked as soon as we have won both our court cases against psr etc things will start to open up for Newcastle. Still think isak stays at Newcastle under a new contract but if he was to leave there would be more than just the dippers interested Madrid psg and bayern would throw there hat in the ring too.
A lot of ifs and buts there. I just don’t see it.

Think it seems quite clear he only wants to go to the dippers. There’s a reason no other club has bid

Harvey Elliot and £100m will get the deal done, would love to see Newcastle stand firm offer a new contract or sit in the reserves citing the scousers for unsettling the player. Won’t happen of course but would be fun seeing the scousers name dragged through the mud again after the van dick drama.

It is not possible to drag Liverpool through the mud. No matter what scummy behaviour they or their fans do it is glossed over.

Newcastle would be the ones to be attacked by ex pros and studio experts saying they are caging these poor players.

The media in the UK is a bad as it gets. Fox level bad.

I think much of the current negativity on here is partly due to our taking part in the CWC and therefor 90% of our business being done very early. If we were still being linked and then signing Reijnders, Ait-Nori, Cherki, etc then i think the natural optimism a new signing brings would keep everyone's spirits up. They were signed so early and our poor end to the CWC, suggesting that despite these new signings the fact we still cant stop teams breaking through us at will, that the shine has somewhat dulled.

Now we are having to sit back while the club is away on its delayed holidays seeing constant rumours of players we want to stay leaving, and players we want to leave staying. Meanwhile the two clubs who finished above us last season are adding players and spending money.

The thing is though it is okay to think Liverpool have had a better transfer window than us, on the pitch it might end up being different. And it is okay to think that currently both Liverpool and Arsenal are in a better place to challenge on multiple fronts in the new season. If we didnt ever question decisions made by the club or accepted that other clubs might be in a better state than us then we would basically be becoming like Liverpool supporters, the biggest cult like group of supporters in football. Nobody wants to be like that!!!

Isak is an excellent player but not necessarily suited to City or maybe even Liverpool.

When I have watched him play his goals seem to come mainly from counter attacks. When teams play both of us and scousers they tend to sit back and squeeze the spaces

If we didn’t have Haaland or Marmoush , I am sure we would be at the table but forwards are the area where we have plenty of options and we don’t suffer from a lack of goals scored

Given the timing of his actions, it points to wanting more money as much as anything else
Yes seeing how attacking players come up against relentless low block opps is another kettle of fish entirely

Amazingly, their name doesn't get dragged through the mud for long.
They absolutely ravaged Southampton of their best players, yet this is conveniently forgotten by the Media, as The Saints are not seen as important.
LIverpool F.C. fans are even more entitled than those of the Trafford Tramps. See their disgust that TAA wanted to join a bigger club.
No doubt, Isyk was one of the many Scandinavian "Junior Dipper" fans, so not leaving Newcastle for financial gain ?

I agree that Newcastle as a location might be an issue, but surely the fact that Newcastle's wage bill is so 'low' is the biggest problem.

Despite huge increases recently, and the fact that they pay a larger proportion of their revenue in wages, their wage bill is still only about half of ours, or Liverpool's.

There's still a perception, held by many across the media, that big clubs are not far apart in terms of money, when the reality is hugely different. Liverpool, United, City & Arsenal all have at least three hundred million more to spend EVERY season, than Newcastle.

Seems like Newcastle couldn't have done much more to please Isak. They made chumps league, they won a trophy, they are building their financial power.
If he gets that and still wants out he's either a greedy **** or an idiot. Newcastle will be well shot of him.
Make the dippers pay 150 mil for him. Nothing
Couldn't haven't done much more? They wouldn't give him a new contract when he wanted one, and they've been rejected so many times in this window that it's abundantly clear that they won't be able to compete for the major trophies this season. Trafford the latest L of many. Now yet again they won't pay him the wages he wants. They can't spend that much due to PSR. I would have been surprised if he was happy with all of that.
I think Newcastle get the better deal too , 150 mil for Isak , Leipzig want 70 million euros fro Sesko. Sesko has huge potential.
So if I offered you a choice of Isak or Sesko you would take Sesko? lol Who cares about best deals, the best players win you the best trophies. Would you sell Haaland and replace him with Sesko because you'd have more money by doing that? Sesko is a risk, Isak is a sure thing.
