Media discussion - 2025/26

Leanne Sanderson literally slandered us accusing us of cheating our way to our success over the past 10yrs when discussing the situation at Newcastle and how unfair it was. I saw my arse, rang them up and told the researcher that they need to remind the cockney turkey teethed fat rag that Newcastle voted for those said APT rules that she is now saying are unfair. I normally (as you know) am very calm when it comes to the media and how they use our club as some sort of justification for anything that is wrong in the football world. When she said "I don't put Man City or Chelsea in the same bracket as United, Liverpool and all the other history clubs" basically made me realise that it is all for a response and muggings here took the bait. Not 1 mention of our money we had won over the past 10yrs or our growth with revenues etc. Literally made me see red the fat little rag ****.
Leanne Sanderson sums up all that is wrong with modern day so called presenters/pundits. They let their bias cloud any chance of a fair an balanced debate.
I can't believe as a 51 years old FOC that I let her bother me so much.
Anderson needs to stick to womens' fucking football. Sorry if that is sexist or anyone takes offence but she knows the sum total of fuck all about our club.
Sometimes really wish our legal department would take a firm stance with these people and make an example of them.

History clubs you say….

Liverpool first won the FA Cup 61 and 59 years after City and Everton respectively.

Up until 1973 City and liverpool had the same number of major trophies each, 8 so if City have no history when did liverpools history start?

It started with a Littlewoods pools win.

But to be fair to them they did win the league before us 1901 and again in 1906 2 years after our first in 1904, which makes it odder that they took so long to win the FA cup.

Anyway, I absolutely agree with your thoughts on Sanderson, can’t stand her, her rag bias is glaring, another one who gives praise to the likes of the Dippers to try and validate her view that them and the Rags are “proper” clubs. No self respecting Rag would ever align themself with that stance, she’s so annoying, don’t seen her on TV these days and no way am I listening to Talkshite, the worst Radio Station on God’s green earth.

Loads of United and Liverpool supporters align themselves with that stance. For two clubs that apparently hate each other, they’re so far up each other’s arse it’s untrue.

Thank you for defending our Club, I tend to cherry pick from YouTube any topics they discuss which I might find interesting and wouldn't give them the steam of my oiss.
The moment the Southern Ragette opens her trap if I have the misfortune to encounter I immediately switch off as with many if watching a clip.
As been discussed many a time on here it's a wind up orientated propaganda station.Dont know how they get away with the slander though but would be really intrigued to know how much they made your phone call for curiosity and validation.

Mostly itinerant “fans” that don’t live in Manchester, I’ve got plenty of Rag mates and not one of them would ever sidle up to the Dippers to make a point but it’s quite prevalent in the media with people like Sanderson using the argument to try and belittle our club.

Why do it to yourself ? As a FOC as well I just listen to my cds in the car.
I have no idea who this Sanderson person is.
Honestly life is some much nicer if you ignore the press/media.
I only know what's being said by this thread.

The researcher appeared to not really know what to say to me. I said " As a City fan I find it quite hard to accept Leanne Sanderson calling us cheats. Please remind her that Newcastle United voted for the said PSR rules so it is a bit like Turkeys voting for Christmas" He then said, "I will call you back in a few minutes and get you on" I was going to rip her a new arsehole but guess what, they never called me back. My number is blacklisted it must be.

Sanderson is exactly as the op describes her. She's on Sky as well so say no more.

I don't torture myself either and very rarely listen to any sports ' discussions' in the media. I will certainly be giving ' Sunday Supplement' a swerve.

Normally I don't - If you look at my posts on here I am quite vocal about not letting the media affect you and your well being, yet here I was going against my own advice. No idea why I even put it on mate.

Not surprising mate, thing we old cunts have to remember is that media outlets like talkshite are no longer produced by old school production teams in the background.
I’m guessing on the whole they are of similar age to the presenters who are mainly know fuckall biased youtubers.
They are cheap to employ and from red shirted backgrounds.
All we can do is keep on winning and keep flushing the cunts out for what they are.

In a career spanning 16 years that totalled
127 appearances so just an average of 8 games a season
Scoring a record breaking 58 goals the bulk of them at Chelsea 20.

So basically a nobody with an opinion.

Things like Talksport literally only trade on baiting fanbases for content at this point. We need to stop thinking that being a former player gives anything you say about football any credibility at all. Michael Owen's commentary is proof of that. He won the Ballon D'Or and he's the dumbest person I've ever heard on commentary.

Talksport are to journalism what Rustlers is to food. They aren't worth the time.
