Tino Livramento

It's a bit worrying that there's not been too much chatter about any other targets, as well as this not really progressing

Starting next season without a new right back would be a huge and avoidable mistake. Hopefully we are working on it, rather than thinking about working on it.

Agreed but Viana will be keen to right the wrongs of last season and doesn’t seemingly buy in to the whole versatility situation Txiki did for Pep? He buys the players for the position ie we needed a left back so he bought an actual left back? Same will happen with RB imo but we could do with it asap as Nunes may have improved but he’s still not good enough as a full time option

A good few City fans seem to like to ignore these facts about City last season and for some reason keep ignoring our unbelievable achievements of the last five years.
Going forward we've added a plethora of talent from this time last year. This current side is night and day from last year's squad. Haaland, Marmoush, Reinjders, Rodri. Gvardiol and Ait Nouri wouild all be in Liverpool's first 11. They can have Eketike and Isak. I'm taking Haaland, Foden. Marmoush over Salah. Isak, and Ekitike any day of the week. I'd even take Nunes over Frimpong. Wtf are people doing acting like Liverpool are some jauggernaut. Sleep on City at your own peril...

The phrase 'at this rate' means absolutely nothing.
The transfer window ends in September.
The players are on holiday and do not return until next week.
The signing of Trafford helps to balance the HG quota, certainly. He is also one of the most highly-rated young keepers in Europe.
He only balances the homegrown quota when ederson or Ortega leave

Exactly this.

I'm missing at least one player I think but we've got Foden, Bobb & Trafford (if signed) as 3 of the 4 CT spots for UEFA purposes with Lewis & O'Reilly capable of going on the 'B' list as they're still only 20. Ake & Stones (if both stay) would be 2 of the 4 AT spots, McAtee is gone regardless.

Who am I missing?
Bobb

Given the choice, if Newcastle need money because of their PSR situation, I'm guessing they would rather sacrifice Livramento than Isak.
But one jas demanded to leave and the other is going with the flow. It might not come down to what they want.

VVD is so far removed from his prime it's laughable the way everyone insists on pretending he's still the top CB in the world. He's above average but he has visibly declined.
And he gets the benefit of doubt from refs rather more than most defenders because of who he is and plays for

I think that's an exaggeration. I think he's past his best too but it's this season that I am expecting significant decline in his game. He was still effective last season. Liverpool may come to regret renewing VVD and Salah's contracts.

Some of our players get into Liverpool’s starting XI but will Pep put them in our starting XI over his favourites? Time will tell

Like 99% sure that Guehi joins them, hes only got a year left on his contract and since the Dippers threw their hat in hes kinda shut down Newcastle

Hes a left sided centre back depsitie being right footed, hes gonna be a good signing for them

However...hes no prime VVD

Also they need to sort the Konate contract situation out

Replacing Salah is its own job, but do think given how fit he is and how few injuries he has that hes got a few good years left (although if he does decline I'm sure they'll sell him to Saudi)

New toy syndrome and grass is greener syndrome rolled into one.

We have a squad that can win the league if our players step up and progress.

I just hope Liverpool wait a year. Before getting a CB replacing VVD Salah and Konate next year won’t be easy what’s Salah and VVD contract now ? Would like us to go for Guehi next year when Stones, Ake and probably Akanji will be gone
