What has pissed you off today?

Got home from work and there's a letter on the mat, not a particularly big surprise but when I picked it up expecting it to be for the home owner I found out it was addressed to me! Now that is a rarity, so I'm thinking what the hell is this? Have I won something? Bank error in my favour? Nope, just a nice threatening speeding fine :/ 38 in a 30 with photographic evidence so I cant even deny it. To be fair it was on the A58 coming out of Rochdale for god's sake, who doesn't speed out of there

Standing behind women in queues who don’t bother having their card ready to pay until they have bagged up then start to look for it pisses me right off.
TBF, some wanker blokes also do this. Unforgiveable behaviour.

My current company has a 30 June year-end and I handed my notice in on July 1st. Bonuses and salary increases are due to be paid in August, with the latter backdated to July. Just been told I'm on notice as from July, and therefore will be when the bonuses and increases are paid, I won't be getting either. Bonus would have been over £6k gross.

Ouch! It won't please you to know I was in a very similar situation when I left my old company a few years ago. I told my new employers I would take the job, but wouldn't hand my notice in until my bonus was in my bank account in 6 weeks time. Luckily they were willing to wait and understood the situation. I did suggest to them I would happily hand it in sooner for a golden handshake of a similar value...too late for you to try that one? Or anyway to withdraw your notice, wait for the cash to clear then do it?

It's an absolute piss take how it works. The bonus is on work done for the previous financial year, but they tie you down to the additional time based on audited accounts before they release bonuses/salary increases. That money should be yours based on the fact you worked the full year for them, if you hadn't they'd pro-rata the bonus! Most contracts are based on the way your company have done it though.

I was on 3 months notice and they let me off with a month of that. I wanted a September start date at my new company but the new salary I'll be on is £8k more, so I'll still be ahead after 12 months. Just annoying that I worked 12 months for that bonus.
