He’s not helped his cause much since he signed either.

FFP and PSR done its job. Keeping the top at the top and bottlenecking everyone else who wants to join the table.

One problem Newcastle have is they cannot up his wages because of PSR/FFP, so they cannot even compensate him to come back, get back on the train and remain happy for another season, then get his move.

You cannot be having a player like Isak on £120k a week. He has outgrown Newcastle in that sense so to speak.
 
Release clauses would solve a lot of problems with players pushing to leave/player power. Not gentlemen agreements but actual clauses in their contracts.

if Isak had a 130 million pound release clause he wouldn’t be able to complain since the fee would be there in his contract on what it takes to get him. You don’t pay that you don’t get him simple.

Don’t matter how much he is on he has 3 years! You can tell him you’re going nowhere this season and next season we will talk!
 
Let's face facts...all this moaning about Isak and whatever he is or isn't doing comes from the probability that he makes the scousers better. Look at the chances Nunez missed last year , Isak scores those

I think Isak is slightly overhyped but he's better than Nunez.

Newcastle don't seem like they are putting up any resistance. What is the player doing out in Sociedad? Newcastle look like sitting ducks.
 
Newcastle don't have a current full time CEO or Director of football so it's hardly surprising operations are not running smoothly
 
Newcastle should do a Liverpool and make him pay every week he doesn’t come to training. Newcastle getting played like a cuck. Lost their replacement to Liverpool and might lose their star player to Liverpool. If you wanna join the top you better cancel the potential transfer and tell Isak that he has to stay. He has no other choice then to keep playing otherwise the same clubs won’t be interested in him next season.
What a disaster summer its been dir Newcastle unless that ozuna guy somehow breaksthrough

Maybe he wants out. We don't keep players who want out. I'd have kept Alvarez for instance so it's a bit unfair to land any criticism at the feet of Newcastle
 
Why is a player who plays for another club and who City have no interest in the most posted thread at the moment? Appreciate I have just made it worse!

Doesn't work like that in modern football though.

Unhappy player, doesn't want to be there, could be a bad egg in the dressing room. Huge cash asset that will only have 2 years left next year.

Newcastle need money on the books to progress, regardless of how much the owners are worth. It's the nature of modern FPP and PSR that has done this.

Isak and his agent know this and have them tied up.

It’s a bit fucking patronising to feel the need to tell me football is 11 v 11 (oh thanks Marvin you are a true genius), the issue is this is a City forum and if the threads start to become about players who aren’t playing for us and aren’t being targeted by us then the forum stops being a City forum. Anyway I thought I’d put you on ignore so not sure why I saw your patronising non relevant answer but the ignoring is now about to be sorted. Wish I could say it’s been a pleasure
