Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

This is an interview with Anthony Aguilar, the ex green beret US American forces guy who was working in the aid distribution zones in Gaza and was on bbc news recently. The interview is 27 minutes long so presume most people won't watch it so here's the gist:

He talks about the logistics of the aid sites and how they're purposely dangerous, like 'mouse traps'. He says how they've gone from 400 UN distribution points spread around Gaza to just 4, which are in dangerous areas that Gazans have to walk up to 12 kilometres (one way) through danger zones where the idf shoot them. Some of them become displaced trying to make it home as they can't get through the dangerous areas.

He talks about the little kid who kissed his hand and thanked him and how he saw the kid walk away and the IDF murder him. He gets pictures of other kids that thanked him and tells about people who've come for food (and were in no way a threat) and that the idf would not just shoot machine guns but tank rounds, mortars and missiles at them.

If anyone's gonna watch one bit of this watch 21 minutes in where he talks about how some Gazans were in a crowd and they held their kids up because they were being crushed, and an idf guy tells him to get the kids down "or I will". Anthony Aguilar says it's under control, but the idf guy rings a sniper and tells him to "take these kids out"...

He says that what he's seen in Gaza is worse than when he was fighting ISIS - "Barbaric use of force against an unarmed population". He's been on missions in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan amongst other places. He seems extremely well respected and a reliable source.

It looks like Aguilar is doing the rounds - he's just had done an interview with Tucker Carlson of which the first part is out. Good to see that more people will hear his account, which is another small step towards potentially ending this horror.

When you seen those sites, they were set that way for one reason only. Like air drops, we know they don’t work and only supply those that are willing to treat the rest like rats.

Unless borders are opened, with some form of peace keeping force in place, it’s nothing more than its empty promises.

Iran, and the likes of Qatar, need to disband Hamas, Israel need to fuck the current government off, and we need proper people in there who are willing to not allow mass death to look after their own arses.

The US need to step up.

Is it still working? Would even the Telegraph now print an article claiming the IDF is the most moral army in the world?
Nothing the Torygraph publishes would surprise me now. Every day it pumps out sh!te.
It loves the far-right/Farage/Reform, Trump, Clarkson, fossil fuels, petrol cars, tax-dodges, dodgy pension funds, the south, farmhouses in France and Liverpool FC.
It loathes Labour/Starmer/Khan, trade unions, the working class, poor people, people who pay their taxes, foreigners, immigrants, electric cars, the north, City, the environment and Europe (unless its the Cotswalds or France).

A Reuters map showing Gaza that we don’t see on the news despite daily flights over Gaza

The Palestinians have to “walk through an active war zone” to obtain food.

We hear nothing about the IDF and exactly what they are doing in Gaza. In Ukraine we get daily reports of where the front line is and maps of any bombs dropped Russia is behind the front line.

In Gaza nothing except Hamas is in the tunnels despite the daily RAF flights over Gaza, I’ve not seen a current description of where the IDF are operating or looking for tunnels.? We fly an RAF plane over Gaza every day yet no maps of the action.?

Sinjil is a small village it’s been there since the Bronze Age, with beautiful history, it’s 21km northeast of Ramallah. On top of a hill it is surrounded by fields of olive groves. The IDF cage 8000 people in from their fields with barbed wire

Just trying to process the Aguilar I/v’s above.
Anyone, and I mean anyone, who does not condemn Israel without equivocation, whataboutery or reference to 7/10 as justification is a fucking ubercunt.
I’m not a violent person by nature but anyone who supports Israel at public protests deserves whatever violence is meted upon them and I’d happily contribute to it, and that would include posters from here.

He is an American hero who is true to his badge of honour we need to share and listen to his testimony in our parliament .
Over and over again for months trusted people, doctors, servicemen tell us their truth and still no U.N. peace keeping force in Gaza, no ceasefire and no hostages released no food aid.
We need to break the blockade and stop the killing.

Please sign and share if you agree.
Ten thousand signatures needed if you agree we should send ships and break the Israeli blockade of Gaza with food.
The US envoy visits a food distribution site in Gaza, he won’t be allowed to look out of the helicopter window.

Lord Pannick having his say.
View attachment 164577

Update - turns out pannick is a patron for uk lawyers for israel:

This next link is from the house of Lords a week after October 7th (it's a short statement so I'd encourage people to read it). Make of it what you will. One things for sure - his last sentence hasn't aged very well - "Does the Minister agree that the essential difference between Hamas and Israel is that Hamas aims to kill civilians—Jews—while Israel does all that it can to avoid civilian deaths?"

View the Hansard contribution by Lord Pannick (CB) on Monday 16 October 2023 https://hansard.parliament.uk/Lords...ribution-B27AA26E-82CA-4007-9F2B-A47C1A2D3EFC

It appears that "one of the uks most respected lawyers", as amplified by our media in opposition to recognizing the state of palestine and potentially ending the genocide, actually has considerable skin in the game

His links to Israel are well known, think he’s even got property there. I looked him up a few years ago and if you went to certain outlets then you’d find that there were a few who had a completely different take on him, and it wasn’t very nice. Talked about his links to Israel, Zionism, and how he acted towards the Palestinian people. Looked like fake reporting so never thought of it since.

No doubt that he used his position to push a narrative. Needless to say, I hold little to know respect for him with this stance.

Read the Hansard link in the post above.

Edit: from what I posted yesterday in the Labour thread....

But Pannick's not neutral. It's personal. His wife is Israeli. They have a home in Israel. They have friends whose relatives were murdered by Hamas.

I think he knows what war crimes are. And he knows what the problem is with achieving a Palestinian state. It depends on a peace settlement with Israel. Which the Netanyahu government does not want. That's why Netanyahu was ok with the assassination of a rival who wanted to make peace.

Had the misfortune to turn LBC on in the car, where Rachel Johnson was interviewing somebody just back from Rafah. I was assuming that he would have been from the Palestinian side but as soon as they brought Starmer’s speech on events, I knew I was mistaken. Started off with ‘139 trucks of food getting in everyday’ saying that everybody in the strip was getting at least 3000 calories a day and that it’s all a media war by Hamas. Johnson failed to press any questions and they them turned to attack Starmer.

This is how Israel have been wining the media war for decades now. They have huge influence and are not afraid to use, while shills and puppet broadcasters use their paid platforms to get the message across.

I only listened for a few minutes, hate it when these wankers start pissing in my ears.

Maybe just proscribing any organisation with the initials LFI might be a way of navigating through this horseshit.
