Frankly needless, these guys should think about getting big hundreds

Duckett is one of the most in form and highest ranked test batsmen in the world right now, and he’s gotten there playing those shots and being aggressive.

I just don’t see the point in complaining only when it goes wrong, it’s like when Pep makes a tactical tweak and 9/10 times it works and then people get angry about the 1/10 it doesn’t.

He’s averaging 60 for the year in test cricket and the opening partnership was ~100 chasing 224. What’s the problem? England are well on top of this game because of the way they are playing.

250 used to be a huge score in ODIs when I first started watching cricket. Nowadays, 400 isn’t exactly a rarity. It’s crazy how much the game has changed.

In T20s, 200 is becoming increasingly common. And yes; I appreciate that it's easier to maintain a run rate of 10 in the shorter format of the game. Doing it over 40 or 50 overs would be harder, though (as you say) not totally impossible. England have done it 6 times.

I admit that I got him all wrong. I thought he was wrongly fast-tracked into the test team merely by bowling 90mph in a couple of Hundred games.

He’s been a revelation ever since he made his debut last year and he’s a handy bat, too.

I think he’ll enjoy bowling in Australia.
