Kieran Maguire’s comments seem vague and unconvincing. I used to think he was ok as a finance pundit but I am not so sure these days. I think he says what he thinks the media will like for clickbait purposes. The truth is that nobody has ever scrutinised United’s finances properly. They get a free pass while clubs like Everton and Forest get hammered.
Yes. I’ve noticed Maguire getting vaguer and less informative of late.

Just waiting for Kaveh Solekhol to tell us how Freightliner “are getting 400m for a 40m piece of land” whilst ejaculating.
He's never going to live that down.

Do you think he regrets proudly announcing that the rags are getting an £80M player for the price of a £40M player in the form of Van de Bake?

Surely his colleagues on Sly must still take the piss out of him. I bet Mike does. ;-)

United have £1bn of debt which is just increasing year by year. The Glazers don’t seem to have much cash themselves. They are leveraged up to their eyeballs. No one is asking questions.
The problem we've got in Britain is that the media all sing from the same hymn sheet.

There is no alternative outlets that offers an independent or even an alternative view. Broadcasting companies and the media in this country are terrified of stepping outside the box.

I think that if someone had the money and the foresight to invest, develop and produce an alternative news outlet in this country they would attract a more discerning audience and totally disarm the click bait these other news companies rely on so much.

That was The Athletic’s pitch 5 years ago. Then they got bought by the NYT and it’s all United and Liverpool now….

It is this season or bust for the Scum, no UCL 26/27 I can see them doing a Leeds here.

Yes.

I didn't say it would be easy.

However, there is plenty of money to be made out there for an alternative view of things.

Sky and BBC surpassing even their levels on United coverage. Stone must be cumming in his pants every morning at the thought of writing a daily United article. Sky transfer tracker is wall to wall United and fawning over Amorim and saying the usual rhetoric of it’s feels different this year.

Has gone for the ‘buy it now’ option only for the moment. Come the end of the window, it’ll be an auction starting bid £0.99

With all this corruption that's going on with football clubs selling their own hotels and women's teams to themselves to falsify their accounts perhaps 'Red Football inc' could buy Rasmus Birtles from united?

That’s what’s happened in the US. Independent on line news networks like Meidastouch are flourishing. It’s a bit different here, I think. The BBC still has the news lead. No chance of decent football reportage there, all redshirts.
