How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

An act of stupidity will always merit comment.

But we are moving forward. Having absented ourselves from the political and decision making process which was the Brexit remit we are now entering the damage limitation phase with closer alignment, including some dynamic alignment, and mobility schemes.

This was always going to happen and the process will accelerate during this Parliament. Personally, I am very comfortable with these developments. The Brexit mandate was clear. Leave the EU. Our future and status will be similar to Norway and Switzerland. Not in the EU, but within the EU economic jurisdiction as is part of our country already.

Remainers don't believe in referendums and insist on getting some consideration.even as a minority, only the politicians have the mental capacity to understand this complex situation they said.

With this in mind no one should really want another vote, unless they are hypocritical wankers of course.

Let Keir the remainer guide you and once the tears have dried up you can close the thread and move on.

Well it has that’s a fact and the country at some point will need to deal with that one way or another, most likely at some point single market and a Swiss / Norway type arrangement. How long ,who knows, but the journey along that road has started.

The country is "dealing with it" every day in many ways. It's just a shame it's made the average man in the street worse off, and it's that very same man that is going to be hit with higher taxes to try to make up some of the impact of it. It's also the very same man (the likes of you) who then whines when they are asked to pay a bit more. But you knew you were voting to be poorer didn't you?

But your mates Nigel and co will not be losing out so in the meantime, tough-deal with it.

I wasn't asking for anything just pointing out how Brexit views have changed - as for YOU asking for a GE - I'm all for it - would love to see the Tories down to single figures of MP's .............. Bring it on

A bit odd, that. Asking people if we should REJOIN the EU and the options are Remain or Leave rather than Rejoin or Stay Out.

However, all the polling indicates an outbreak of common sense in that most people now think leaving was a mistake, with a majority now wanting a Rejoin referendum within either the next 5 or 10 years.

Perhaps the most telling poll is this one, effectively asking "what has Brexit ever done for us?"
