PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Even Daniel Levy seems weary of it all now, and he was probably one of the ones pushing for us to be charged.

Levy is a disingenuous, hypocritical, duplicitous little turd. City know that he was the cartel's mouthpiece and it was him who applied the relentless pressure on Masters and it was him that demanded the 115 charges on the cartel's behalf. That's why Pep personally named checked Levy the rotten little runt. Now he seems to be distancing himself with his 'wrong for me to comment" horse shit. Behind the scenes there is something going on and I won't be surprised if that toxic little twat feels he's taken the Spuds as far as he can.

“it’s unfortunate we haven’t been able to resolve things internally”

We?

Internally?
Says it all. What he means is he wants a small clique of club Directors to carry on breaking the law as part of a vendetta against one of their biggest commercial competitors. We need more transparency not less.

Keep hearing the word sustainability being banded around in that interview with Levy and Neville. You have to remember Spurs have not posted a profit in their last four years worth of accounts. They are one of the most in the red clubs in world football, even worse than the rags and nothing ever gets said.

There’s a reason him and his other chums in the top 6 were pushing for these charges to be brought, they wanted City out of the way. Now it’s slowly dawning on them it’s been a complete waste of time and money which should have been going to them from the Premier League will instead be going to City in damages in the apt case. Now he’s crying over how long it’s taking and realising it’s something that should have been naturally concluded after the CAS verdict.

Sounds like he's waiting the white flag

Personally I hope we shoot all the prisoners

It’s taking a long time for us but, if I understand correctly, it’s fairly normal in the greater scheme of similar cases?

There's been nothing officially communicated regarding a resolution for this and the media have done nothing but stir up impatience by fantasising about trophies being taken away and relegation to the National League. Too much "I want it now" spoiled brat mentality.

I want this all resolved but I swear people just don't understand how legal process works and they think its just Twitter instant reaction shit.

Although a certain poster was dismissive of this, I've said before that there is a clear theme linking the 2014 UEFA FFP settlement, the subsequent UEFA charges and CAS hearing, the PL charges and the APT rules, which is related parties.

One of the main disagreements in 2014 was around whether Etihad and other Abu Dhabi companies were related parties. UEFA's advisers said they were and we disagreed. It came up again in 2018 and was specifically referred to in the CAS verdict.

The APT rules were clearly designed to catch these sponsors in their net, while conveniently and knowingly ignoring shareholder loans. My suspicion is that this line of attack was designed to force us to reveal details of these contracts at the least, or even kibosh them completely at worst. We know the amounts have been restricted.

Whether there's a direct linkage between the relevant 115 charges and the APT case I wouldn't like to say, but I think we'll see once the PL charges are resolved.

Yes, the reference to RPTs in the first tranche of allegations must mean they are questioning what RPTs are in the accounts and, presumably, their values. I wouldn't be surprised if the PL is questioning ownership as well, if they are looking at what is an RPT. I always thought it strange that Mansour changed his ownership vehicle part way through the PL investigation. May be nothing, of course.

Something else I found strange was that the club put up so little defence in the APT arbitration to the notion that APTs were an essential part of PSR (and therefore the old FFP) and that the UEFA case against City (which as we know, didn't question FMV in the end) and the 115 case (which had barely started) were evidence that APT rules were absolutely necessary.

I am pretty sure Pannick plans his moves three steps ahead. I can't help wondering if that is something to do with what is going on.

Conspiracy rant over :)

The new rules for availability and independence were for Section X arbitrations, not Section W disciplinary issues, so that doesn't work.

So, how about this? There is some connection between the APT case and the 115 case that we don't know about and the APT case has been held up by the arbitrators' availability. Hence the new rules and the recent talk of the 115 not being settled until after October, which is coincidentally when the APT arbitration is heard.

I know it's unlikely, but I can't help getting the idea that the 115 is taking too long now, and there may be something going on that we don't know about.

And I know everyone will say it's not possible, but the view on APT was that it would be difficult to "win" the case and, in the end, it was easy if people only connected the shareholder loan dots.

Just a thought. I am prepared to be roundly condemned :)

How about the fact there has been collusion between the premier league, its members to try & ruin City.

Well, yes. But everybody, I think, was of the opinion that it would have been sorted by now. The lawyers on here have even said, I think, that they were expecting a decision by now, but they could understand why it may take longer.

Personally, I had May/June pencilled in. It would be hypocritical of me, in the absence of any new information, to now say I expected it to take longer.

Which is why I am positing something is going on that we don't know about. Means nothing really, of course. Believe it or not, I have been known to be wrong before ..... :)
