PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Just watched Neville interview with him on YouTube! This “why is it taking so long” never followed up with that they are serious accusations a lot of charges and it will take as long as it takes! Also levy banging on about related parties is a big problem! Him think our owners family will overpay with the sponsors! Not one word from Neville telling him certain clubs have had loans with nought % interest with the apt that if they hadn’t would have been under scrutiny with PSR! Not one word on American owners and there influence on English football! It’s was all about massaging levy’s ego!
Neville's going all Bette Midler:

"That's enough of me ranting about City and the 115 charges
What about you?
What do you think about City and the 115 charges?"

Even Daniel Levy seems weary of it all now, and he was probably one of the ones pushing for us to be charged.

The good of the game?

Yes, the reference to RPTs in the first tranche of allegations must mean they are questioning what RPTs are in the accounts and, presumably, their values. I wouldn't be surprised if the PL is questioning ownership as well, if they are looking at what is an RPT. I always thought it strange that Mansour changed his ownership vehicle part way through the PL investigation. May be nothing, of course.

Something else I found strange was that the club put up so little defence in the APT arbitration to the notion that APTs were an essential part of PSR (and therefore the old FFP) and that the UEFA case against City (which as we know, didn't question FMV in the end) and the 115 case (which had barely started) were evidence that APT rules were absolutely necessary.

I am pretty sure Pannick plans his moves three steps ahead. I can't help wondering if that is something to do with what is going on.

Conspiracy rant over :)
That's an interesting point. APTs are an artificial construct, defined by the PL, whereas a related party is an established part of corporate reporting and has been for as long as I can remember.

Well, yes. But everybody, I think, was of the opinion that it would have been sorted by now. The lawyers on here have even said, I think, that they were expecting a decision by now, but they could understand why it may take longer.

Personally, I had May/June pencilled in. It would be hypocritical of me, in the absence of any new information, to now say I expected it to take longer.

Which is why I am positing something is going on that we don't know about. Means nothing really, of course. Believe it or not, I have been known to be wrong before ..... :)
Tbh, given that it has been announced that the actual review has been concluded, I'd guess something like that is going on where they're negotiating the resolution. I know there was the story about City wanting a public apology and no fine etc, but I don't know how credible that is.

I dont believe it.

Neville was probably high because utd just beat Bournemouth 4-0 in the "shit sides playing in the US" cup.

Interesting Levy saying we?

I'd like to know who 'We' is!

Is it the rest of the mardarses who are jealous of our success?

Fuckin we lol.

Is that an offence that would disqualify you from running a football club / company?

It might affect what is regarded as fit and proper. That seems to have its own un-written definition i.e., Western European / American and a supporter of Western liberal values. As we can see from the news, these values are meaningless.

He no longer has a controlling interest, so probably not

Reminds me, slightly tangentially, of the wise words of Fiat President Gianni Agnelli when he was asked how he and the board came to a majority agreement on the biggest decisions:
“I Always ensure there are an odd number of people making the decision. And I always ensure that number is less than two.”
I heard a similar one about the optimum size of a committee being three, two of whom are absent.

Interesting. I wouldn't have thought the time taken would indicate anything other than the amount of relevant evidence and counter-evidence that was presented and has to be analysed and explained in the award.

Presumably the panel have known their findings for months already and are just writing up their explanation? Either that, or something else is going on that we don't know about.

But, exhortation?
My apologies hahaha autocorrect!

Genuine question for those who know how legal preceding work

Is Roosen & his chosen panel writing up the report or will they have staff to write the report & they just check whether it's correct with their findings?

Not very. The verdict is about whether City did anything wrong not the punishment itself.

Neville lost the last 1% of respect I had for him when he said in February 'I think Tottenham is a bigger club than City, like it's not even controversial'.
Love how the entire Sky studio left him hanging by going silent and nobody followed up to support his claim instead Redknapp (ex-Tottenham player) told him: 'I don't know mate, it sounds quite controversial'.
Not even rival fans in the comments (except Spurs fans ofc) agreed, what a tool!
