Interested to hear people’s thoughts on this.

With De Bruyne now gone (sad face) and other experienced heads sadly no longer the players they once were. The upcoming season looks to be very exciting with some new faces through the door.

Who do you think will be the main man for us this season and why?

My thoughts - Marmoush

He has the work rate, the versatility, and he has already shown flashes of top-class finishing since arriving. His pressing looks on point, and with more minutes and confidence, I believe he could become this season’s POTY. He seems to back himself and has already shown glimpses of what he can produce in big moments. I genuinely think he could become the player we turn to when it matters most.

My gut feeling says Cherki is going to be a great signing for us. He's just got that ability to do incredible stuff with the ball and I think he could be the one to unlock a lot of the bus parkers.

Altjough if Rodri is back to his best, he will be it no problem.

Haaland, as long as we indeed change our style to get the best out of him. more counters, quicker build up etc.

Reijnders is better than anyone expected, gone right under the British media's radar. Think he's going to be really influential. Suspect this is going to be Oscar Bobbs break out year too, postponed from last year.
Cherki could ruin everybody if he's right on it, bit like Mahrez only not as FFS! Lol.
PWF hopefully back to his best along with Rodders and we'll be cooking.

As I think it will take the most recent signings 6 months to bed in, I'll go with Omar. With Pep Linders moving us to a more vertical play, Marmoush will score a hatful.

Cherki is a mercurial talent. I think he will both enthral and frustrate.
I think he will provide great moments and do things city fans will talk about for years, but I don’t think he will be the stand out.

For me Reijnders will be the standout.
From what I saw from the CWC he’s like a rolls Royce. He’s such a silky player, composed on the ball and a good passing range.
I’m looking forward to watching him.

We need Haaland to have a very strong season at least, stand out player could be Cherki then. At CWC been really impressive, lost a ball or two, not that many minutes, but still goal and assist plus nice to spot a guy with the eye for the creative pass and natural talent on the ball

If Erling scores 30 league goals again it’ll obviously be him

If he has an “average” season and “only” scores low 20s then it’ll be Rodri.

Rodri is our best player but because his fitness is uncertain and because our attacking options have increased I am expecting a better season from Haaland.

Rodri, Phil, Cherki, Reijnders, Bobb, Haaland, Doku

Maybe anyone of them but I'm going to go for Trafford or Ait-Nouri.

Lets hope one or more of our CB's have an amazing season too.
